This weekend's game will be the 12th time the Packers have played in a Wild Card Round playoff game. Through the first 11 they have a 7-4record and are 5-2 at Lambeau Field. What do you recall about these games?

1993: Brett Favre fires a 40 yd. pass to Sterling Sharpe with 55 seconds remaining to rally past the Lions at Detroit 28-24. The next week in the Divisional Round the Packers lose to the Super Bowl Champion Cowboys 27-17 at Dallas.

1994: The Packers hold Hall of Fame rb Barry Sanders to minus-1 yd. rushing as they defeat Detroit 16-12 at Lambeau Field. The next week the Pack loses again at Dallas 35-9.

1995: The Packers beat Atlanta 37-20 at Lambeau and then go on to upset the 49ers at San Francisco 27-17 in the Divisional Round before losing the NFC Championship Game at Dallas 38-27.

1998: The Packers are robbed at San Francisco. The officials incorrectly rule a Jerry Rice fumble an incomplete pass, giving the 49ers a last second chance to pull out a 30-27 victory on Steve Young's desperation pass to Terrell Owens in the last seconds.

2001: The Packers resume their mastery of the 49ers with a 25-15 win at Lambeau Field under second year coach Mike Sherman. In the Divisional Round at St.Louis the Packers get blown out 45-17 as they commit 8 turnovers.

2002: The Packers suffer their first ever home playoff loss to rookie Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons 27-7.

2003: Al Harris picks off Matt "We want the ball and we're gonna score" Hasselbeck in the first moments of overtime to give the Packers a 33-27 win over Seattle and former coach Mike Holmgren at Lambeau. Tne next week the Packers lose the infamous "4th & 26" playoff game in OT at Philadelphia 23-20.

2004: The Packers sustain a galling 31-17 loss to Minnesota at Lambeau Field, after beating the Vikings twice in the regular season to edge them for the NFC North title. Randy Moss fake moons the crowd after scoring the clinching td but it's the Packers who come out of the game looking like *****.

2009: The Packers lose a playoff scoring record shootout at Arizona 51-45 in OT, as officials miss a face mask penalty against the Cardinals on the game deciding fumble by Aaron Rodgers.

2010: The Packers start their march to the Super Bowl championship with a 21-16 win at Philadelphia. The Packers will win road games 48-21 at Atlanta and 21-14 in Chicago for the NFC Championship, leading to their 31-25 win over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV in Arlington,Texas.

2012: The Packers win the "rubber match" of the season with Minnesota 24-10 at Lambeau but go on to lose the next week to the 49ers 45-31 on the West Coast.

And Sunday another chapter will be added.

The games you mentioned in 2007 and 2011 were both played in the divisional round.

Dang Dallas really owned us haha ugh. The moral of the story is defense has been the reason we have had early exits since 2010. When you give up 37 and 45 points you usually don't win. So you are right, another chapter will be added but will there be a to be continued??...or will we be calling for Capers head next monday?? hmmm???

The '95 loss in the NFC Championship to Dallas was closer than the score indicates. Brett kind of melted down in the late 3rd and early 4th quarter. Pack had 'em on the ropes and let the knot slip. That game sticks out in my mind because immediately after game, Michael Irving (the blow hole, nose candy, gun toting slug) mumbled, "It's midnight. Cinderella can go home now." That gurgling turd .. never could stand that pr*ck ... couldn't even win with style.
