 I just had deja vu. I could've sworn that I have heard Lions fans claim this nonsense before. :D They'll take second in the division though.

Hey, if the Lions can field a QB that doesn't throw bounce passes, they have a shot.

Yeah, Millen isn't the whole team, just the guy who put the whole team together.

When Carroll punches one of your players in the balls that proves your team is weak :)

Well......big3 has EVERY right to have his hope for his team. Hope springs eternal..........especially if you are a Lions fan. Why burst his bubble? The Lions have done that to him every year. Hey, ya gotta give him props for his undying optimism!

Did you guys even follow the link to the video? It was meant to be funny, not just to talk smack. Especially since I am a Harrington Hater.

    Ahhh... A Lions thread.

After watching the Browns game, it's clearly evident to me that the Cover 2 or Tampa 2 is a hard system to catch onto. This season is all about how well the Lions play the Tampa 2, which has plenty of room for errors but a tremendous upside when all players are on the same page. I think they'll tank in the first few games and start to come around at game six to have a decent season. Something to give us optimism, at least.
I am a diehard Lions fan and will never "roll over" on them. Every team that installs the Cover 2 or Tampa 2 has problems in the beginning. Green Bay did, Chicago did... so I think it's all up to how quickly the Lions catch on to the Tampa 2, or "Detroit 2," the difference being Henderson's more aggressive blitzing approach.
The offense will score, but can the defense keep it from being a "last possession" game? But to the Lions' defensive credit... Have you been counting the preseason turnovers? It's really quite crazy... But once they fully grasp the Tampa 2, I think Detroit will be a tough team to beat.

I'm not making any crazy predictions, but I like where this team is headed and a playoff berth wouldn't surprise me, but it wouldn't be totally expected either.

Mineral.........i really mean this now...........i'm glad you don't jump off the Lion's bandwagon. You stick with your team no matter what! I respect that!!! I (like many others here) stuck by the Packers through the 1970's and 80's. I got laughed at and ridiculed more times then i could count back then for sticking with "my" team.
I greatly respect a fan who's not a "fair weather" fan!
