Who around here has put their religious beliefs in their sig? Just curious!

I guess it all depends. If your religion is in the majority, I would say it's generally not allowed by the powers that be. If your religion is in the minority, then probably it is okay. At least that's the way it's been on other boards I frequent.

It is not against the rules to put a scientology picture in your signature.

    You are SO sued!

I thought the same thing as I read my way down the thread.

I also got a nice private message as well.

    Good times ahead.

And if anything, starting a thread, singling someone out about their 'religious' Sig, seems to be against the rules

    -Religious persecution

    Stop persecuting people, Dh.

And Scientology isn't a religion so this thread is pointless. Other than stirring that pot.

    Gonna be LONG offseason.

    THAT ALL YOU GOT?????

I was reading down this thread, practically drooling to see your response, and that is it? It is going to be a VERY LONG offseason.

LOL. A thread this stupid isn't going to get the wrath of tromadz, man. I'm not angry at Dh or anything. I feel sorry for him actually.

Someone who thinks Scientology is a religion is as stupid as Scientologists themselves.

    (there, you happy now?)

This stupid thread can be locked at any time, AADP. Do the thing you do.

Not so fast... I have a question before this gets locked..

If they are going to hide behind the tax benefits tied to the churches and organized religion, are they not considered a reglion?

I know little to nothing about it.. so the above is a serious question, are they or aren't they a relious group?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

Scientology is a body of beliefs and related practices as well as a profitable multinational network of corporations created by American speculative fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. Hubbard developed Scientology teachings in 1952 as a successor to his earlier self-help system, Dianetics.[1] Hubbard later characterized Scientology as an "applied religious philosophy" and the basis for a new religion.[1] Scientology encompasses a spiritual rehabilitation philosophy and techniques,[1] and covers topics such as morals, ethics, detoxification, education and management.

Scientology doctrine is disseminated in a semi-secular manner by the Association for Better Living and Education, which sells its use to Scientology-affiliated corporations such as Narconon,[5] Criminon[6] and Applied Scholastics.[7]

Scientology and the organizations that promote it have remained highly controversial since their inception. Journalists, courts and the governing bodies of several countries have stated that the Church of Scientology is a cult and an unscrupulous commercial enterprise that harasses its critics and abuses the trust of its members. Scientology officials argue that most negative press has been motivated by interest groups and that most of the controversy is past history.
