    Whew.

Not the Titans. Thank the Lord.

And the Manning family has to be happy it's not the NFC.

The irony, if Peyton is back in the playoffs it could me Manning and Brady. Again.

I like it, we don't play Denver until next year in Indy.

Wow, some of the tebowmaniacs out here are putting favre fans to shame with their delusions. Just by reading some comments online you'd think that tebow is clearly the better qb, tebow is more popular than elway and old number 7's ego cant handle it so he wants to ship him out of town, tebowis being persecuted because of his faith, manning is a horrible qb whose head is about to fall off and he murders baby hippos.

I was afraid of this. It will die over though. I hope.

Yep, you would get a real laugh reading how STUPID they are on their forums. Right now I am reading them arguing back and forth "We'll never win a Super Bowl with Manning he sucks in the post season" to "Why are we giving up on Tebow so fast?"

To be fair most broncos fans are pretty hyped. The weird-os drying their tears in tebow's jock are just too much though. I already read a few comments from bronco fans hoping manning goes down on his first play!

Well maybe they never do win a title. But they also won't have to put up with waiting for a lucky fumble at the end of the 4th either to steal a win.

I don't get some Colts fans. Many had it set on Peyton to SF. Peyton winning a few rings with the Niners.

Yeah lets not get carried away kids. The Niners almost made the SB but had no pressure on them last year and a rookie HC. I remember how many were ranting about how great Caldwell was after a SB run in 2009 in his rookie year.

    Let's not get carried away.

The NFC is far too competitive for me to have thought Peyton to the Niners was going to be as easy as some thought.

The Niners also had an offensive line that would not have carried if the quarterback got killed out there.

I know you can say Alex Smith holds onto the ball too long (because he does) but going back and watching him against the Saints and Giants, even in the playoffs he was getting clobbered, and on top of that, the Saints pass rush was really awful last season. Harper was their sack leader and he's not even a linebacker or defensive end, and still yet, the Saints managed to put Smith on the ground and knock him around in that game. Smith was sacked 44 times last year in the regular season, and that is not easy numbers of constantly taking hit after hit, especially for someone like Manning coming back from a neck injury.

Had Manning went to S.F. he would have been risking his life behind that piss poor offensive line. I don't blame him one bit. Go get two overrated receivers, one past his prime (Moss) and one that is scared of taking big hits (Manningham) and that's still not enough. He would need protection. You gotta protect your quarterback.

Broncos O line is better I agree. And they may bring in Jeff.

Peyton can also do what he wants on offense.

I still did not see Peyton and Harbaugh meshing.

Excellent point as to why Manning didn't pick the 49ers. He at least wants to remain in the league for a few years.

Thanks, and I totally agree. I see him as someone that does love to play quarterback, and he is going to want protection after missing a whole season from a neck injury.

But I don't think the Titans would have protected him either. I'm happy he didn't go there. After all the things Bud Adams has done from back stabbing Oiler fans to getting rid of McNair, to thinking Vince Young would be a top quarterback, I don't think anyone would sleep good at night knowing after all those terrible things he's done over time, he manages to land Manning.

    Thank God.

Some are saying that Manning was never that serious about TN. he was being nice since he went to school there.

It was between Denver and SF all along.

Nah, it is all part of a brilliant evil plan. The Broncos will go 2 - 14 this year, wrapping up the #1 overall pick. With that pick, they will select Matt Barkley, Quarterback, USC. Peyton will then return to his former level of play, mentor Matt for a full season and half of a second before losing the desire to play, gracefully handing over the keys to the Broncos.

He will then ride off into the sunset, which is code for his subterranean fortress, where he will conclude his plans to create a single global financial structure where all currency will have Cooper Manning's likeness in no fewer than 78 locations, making it impossible to counterfeit.

Peyton will, quite literally, laugh all the way to the bank.

Surprisingly, I don't feel myself envying the Broncos like I did 15 years ago.

I HATED them sooooooooooo much for beating us in the Super Bowl. But looking back at that game, we were bound to lose. i don't blame it all on Favre, he was struggling yes, but when Dorsey Levens was tearing it, we didn't keep handing the ball off to him. I hated it when Denver won it back to back too, but I never really hated Elway. He's a likable guy, and I was happy for him.

Had Peyton went to Tennessee, I would have been off my rocker angry and pissed at them. The people that don't get it, never will. But I hate Bud Adams worse than I do any owner in the NFL. Redskins fans are always bitching about Dan Synder, but at least he didn't move their team somewhere and rename them. I LOVED my Houston Oilers as if they were a baseball or basketball team. Had Manning went there, I would have been praying that someone put him on the ground every time he dropped back to pass.
