Although I'm a Packers fan I've never been to Wisconsin. So aside from Packer football what all is there to enjoy if I were to travel there?

Now, I'm into the social ballroom and swing dance scene and wonder about the venues there. I know a lady here who once owned a studio in Madison.

Good food, decent bar folks, casinos, FISHING, camping, scenic road trips, state parks, skiing/sledding, boating, Cave of the Mounds, Gibralter Rock, pretty water falls (up north), Brewer games (even though Im a Cubs fan...their tailgating is 2nd to none), Cheese factory tours, Cheese Days (in Monroe WI).

Even though people say there isn't anything to do here, I love my state. If Wisconsin had a war, I'd enlist :)

Dont know anything about dancing though, sorry

During the summer months, if someone were to be looking to visit the Green Bay area, is there much going on? Any festivals or sights to see (BEYOND all the Packer-related attractions that Green Bay has to offer!).

Cheese factory tour would be cool, is there anything like that in that part of the state?

I love FLW. I grew up near the Dells - my dad used to take me to Taliesin regularly, just to sit outside the house and look at it. That is one fascinating place - and what a history behind it, too, with the fire and all that. Just wow.

Excellent suggestion.

Edit to add: Man, you are making me miss Wisconsin, ivo...and I was just missing my dad pretty big time today as it is.

Just an FYI I don't recommend staying at the Polynesian at the WI Dells, Wilderness is pretty good, DD stayed there a few times. Kalahari and Great Wolf seem pretty good. All of them are a pretty penny. Also if you go up to the Dells eat a burger at Monk's bar.

SO much to do in the Dells. I would say take at least two days there alone. Head up the freeway to Mauston, and stop and get some cheese from these guys (the BEST - don't know if you can take a tour there or not - the website says there's a factory AND retail store there - but OMG, the cheese is incredibly good).

We will definitely be going to the Dells, so thanks for the recommendations/where not to stay lol and my cousin informed me that Monk's bar is a MUST.

How many days would you recommend that we stay at the Dells? Is two nights, three days enough time to get to see/do lots?

I used to live in the Dells, so asking how many days to spend up there is a trick question, if you are from Illinios one and get the back down south. For everyone else stay at least 2 days.
