    I thought he looks a lot like Cowher or a memember of the village people. Could be much worse. Also kinda looks like Purdue Pete.

    In my search I saw that a number of fans didn't like him.
    Didn't know about the tries to get rid of him.
    Were there any alternative suggestions?

    It seems like college mascots are more set in stone than some of the NFL ones which seem to be more fickle.

    We fans personally did not approve!We were happy without a mascot,or cheerleaders for that matter.It seems we are always in the mix come playoff time so believe me,we are plenty entertained!Had to be one of the front office wives who thought it would be "cute".:russian_roulette:

    Mascots are for college teams....with the exception of the Phoenix Suns gorilla. So basically, if you aren't the gorilla then its amateur.
