The entire season was a wash? Didn't they go 11-5 with a backup who has proven that it is far more about the system than the level of talent? He stunk up the league after he left the Pats. The team is well coached, and they put together a solid roster.

    Um...
In 2007 Tom Brady lead the Patriots to an undefeated, record shattering season that will never be duplicated.
Even if the Packers go undefeated in the regular season their performance is not as great as was the performance of the 2007 Patriots. The Packers are great. The 07' Patriots were incredible.

In 2008 our back up went 11-5 in a mediocre season against a far easier schedule than the year before.

And you're saying Tom Brady has nothing to do with it? And that he isn't an elite quarterback?

    k, buddy.

Did I say anything about Brady in this thread? I said Cassel took over and played the team to an 11-5 record, then proceeded to show he can't hack it outside of the Pats system. Reading for comprehension isn't your strong point, is it?

    k, buddy...

    I'm bored.

Oh, and how'd that 2007 record shattering undefeated season work out for ya?

You're probably a good guy so let me give you some advice.
If you ever visit Massachusetts don't allege that Tom Brady is not an elite quarterback if you want to make it out of here alive.

We lost the Superbowl and that was the toughest loss imaginable, no doubt. It was pretty crushing, to be perfectly honest.
But how did it work out for us?

    Well...

We may not have won the big game but with that said when people think of the 2007 NFL season they don't think about the Giants, do they? They think about the New England Patriots, one of the greatest football teams of all time.

Dominate also to me means no excuse why you didnt win more games..

If you claim they are/were dominate, then they should have won more playoff games, plain and simple

But if you dont make the SB you wont be back..

Again, did I say anything about Brady? He put up the single most impressive full season I've ever seen a QB put up last year (yeah, it was much more impressive that 2007). Right now, he's the second and maybe third best QB in the league. That puts him above 29 or 30 others, so I'd say that's pretty elite. I respect the heck out of the guy, though I don't like him, but he never had a chance after attending Michigan, that's unforgivable in my eyes.

And I've been to Mass plenty of times, as recently as last week. Never had a problem with anyone there, so I guess you won't find the trouble you want to find with me, no matter how hard you try to fabricate it.

Never the less, if you had to choose between the 07' Giants or the 07' Patriots to play on your behalf in whatever imaginary, hypothetical situation you can come up with, we all know which team you would choose.

I'm not looking for a problem with you. Maybe I read to much into your post based on all of the delusional anti-Patriot, anti-Brady BS I hear from fans all around the league trying to paint Brady as a mediocre quarterback who just happened to land in an organization that makes him look good.

Sorry not incredible, you lost the SB..I rather go 8-8 and win the Sb then 16-0 and lose SB

Minnesota had the best offense season at one point and lost in playoffs...That wasnt an incredible team to me either

    Strike two was
This is not Bretts team and hasnt been since 08..

So forgive those of us that are very defensive towards you..

Come on... It was an incredible season, an incredible team. Magical, even. Perhaps you have to be a Patriot fan to truly appreciate it because of so many factors. The sports-media has always despised us and despised Tom Brady. They're always looking for a reason to downplay NE's accomplishments and talent (I.E. suggesting the dog-killer should be league MVP last year) The 2007 season was sheer talent, sheer heart, sheer defiance against a league and media that always hopes for our failure. It was an incredible team and an epic chapter in NFL history.

Part 1 of 6 for anyone who enjoys football played at the highest possible level.

I think the Pats are a great team, I have no issues at all with them...Even with spygate..I still think they are what most teams should try to be like..

But by no means for me was 07 a incredible team..They lost the SB..Incredible regular season team, maybe..Win the SB best team EVER in the history of any sports maybe, but they blew it..

So I decided to make a splash.

In truth I have no ill will towards the Packers. I can't say I have a "2nd favorite team" but I like the Packers and I like cold weather football teams that have a red blooded all American middle class fanatical fanbase and the Packers fit that description.
You're like the Patriots Nation of the NFC.

And I think an undefeated Green Bay packers versus a defiant New England Patriots has the potential to be one of the greatest superbowls ever.

But we feel we should have more rings than we do and that fate has screwed us for a number of years.
We are so hungry for another superbowl win it's like acid in our mouths.

So when I say we're coming for your candy asses in the Superbowl what I mean to say is we are coming for your CANDY ASSES in the superbowl and we're the football team to do it.

Sorry, you're probably on the wrong board for that. I was a guest here last year during the playoff run, and despite what the Bears and Steelers fans tried to stir up, the members here responded with respect and civility for the most part. That isn't to say things didn't sometimes get heated or interesting, and there's a lot of fun to be had here. You're just not going to get the reactions here you would from members on a lot of other forums.

You misunderstand. I wasn't aiming to lob grenades. I'm just shooting from the hip.
You're happy with the Packers and you have reason to be but Tom Brady is coming for his 4th ring this season and if we make it to the Superbowl (which I am increasingly confident of) you're going to have a game on your hands, boys and girls.

Brady is playing angry this year. The man is driven. He wants that redemption and he's coming for it.

    GET SOME.

    331 to 223

    382 to 227

    What is that?

Pats points for and points against
Then Packers points for and against

We have more points then you and give up about the same...

Pretty even and if both make it to SB I think you maybe surprised...

In fact your like the Steel fans from last year..I am pretty sure not one that came here gave the Pack any respect..Said basically what your saying..And look what happened..

I am fast to tell Pack fans dont tkae it for granted we make the SB, as any Pat fan shouldnt..And please dont take it for granted you will win either

    NEPatriots,
So................you admit to "spygate" (cheating) and that NE was embarassed by the whole thing. Your honor the defense rests, no more questions.

Not really. The Pats came off a bye week and the Steelers made heavy adjustments on defense from previous years. Also, Ben just threw the ball all over the Pats. A good QB can beat NE.

So are the Rams. Just ask the Saints.

I remember when Pats fans said this about the Colts in 2006 when they beat them in the regular season. And then about the Jets last year who beat the Pats 2 of 3 times overall.

Of course they matter. If you lose homefield thanks to a tiebreaker or something it matters.

Of course they are coming together. Always comes together when you play awful QBs.

    I hear this every season.

The Pats main threats are two TEs and Welker. No real deep threat at WR that scares anyone. Branch won't keep any DC up in a sleepless night. If the Pats lose Welker or either TE they are in trouble. The depth is not as hot on the Pats offense as GB who is loaded at WR.

Once again it helps when you play awful offenses or QBs. Like the Pats often have this season. You lost to Eli and Ben, above average QBs. Rivers has had a terrible season. Fitzpatrick was hot when you played them. Ben tore the Pats a new one. The Raiders had Campbell and not Palmer when the Pats played Oakland.

You think the Pats average defensive players can hold all the Packers weapons all the time to FGs? You think when Aaron rolls out of the pocket to throw on the run that your DBs are going to cover them as they go slicing down the field? Son please. This Packers team nearly beat the Pats last year WITHOUT Rodgers. Do you think Aaron Rodgers is Mark Sanchez?

The Pats offense was as much to blame in that SB as the helmet catch. The Pats high scoring power offense who laid 30+ on the Giants in week 17 scored a whopping 14....indoors. In their biggest game. Fail.

Overall Pats fans are too easy. They are so pent up on not winning a SB for a while now that every season is now officially the year again so they can chase the former dynasty years and they see Brady getting up their in age. They also have their panties in a wad at times over Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers on some of their forums this season. It burns them deep down that there is a new King at QB and the Packers have won so many games since last year. Packers would have beaten the Pats last year in the SB too.

That is really all there is to it folks. Have a nice season Pats fans and hopefully your team does not break your heart again like the Red Sox or something.

lmao this guy is a riot. Honestly why are you even here talking about a SB when the season has a lot of football left to be played? Good God. Go focus on the rest of the games and the playoffs in the AFC first.
