How big is this game for both teams?

Bears: To prove that last year was for real, they need to win to set the tone for the year. The offense needs to prove that it is better. The defense needs to show that it can repeat. A win in GB will do the most good mentally, by putting the thought of a losing season in the heads of GB fans and players to keep them in the cellar.

GB: Home game against the div winners. The new D has a good early test/chance against a poor offense. If Chicago O does well, it would really set a bad tone. There are almost as many questions on GB offense as Chicago offense.

I really wish that this was a Chi home game, to make it a little easier. However, a road lose for the Bears would not be as devistating as a home loss in week 1.

Less than four months! Can't wait.

No, having the 2nd game in Chicago is fitting seeing that it may (or may not) be Favre’s last game.
As much as Bears fans hate the Packers and as much as Favre has shoved it down our throats at Solder Field, I believe that they will acknowledge him accordingly.

Be consistent. If you're gonna use "prolly" it should read "tree times".

As much as I'd like to say its a huge game, the first game of the game really isn't . Yeah its against a top division rival. It is a good pace-setting game, but even that probably won't hold up. The losing team could win the next week, and the winning team could lose the next week and both are 1-1.

However....its against those Bears so...it should be pretty exciting nonetheless. Hopefully Mr. Glass stays healthy throughout preseason so AJ Hawk can break him in his NFL debut!

 Yeah, because A.J. Hawk is a proven NFL talent and everybody knows how great he is in the NFL. :?: :?: :?:

what...does that have to do with ANYTHING we were talking about?

    Ok, fine.

However....its against those Bears so...it should be pretty exciting nonetheless. Hopefully Mr. Glass stays healthy throughout preseason so NICK BARNETT can break him.

(nick barnett led the nfc in tackles. hes a proven LB. are we done here? Yes we are. good day. I SAID GOOD DAY!)

Barnett is good. THe problem with him is that it seems like he led the nfc in tackles downfield. Doesn't seem like he attacks the way he should. Maybe that willl change this year.

 That's better but hoping that a certain player, whether a rival or not, gets injured just shows your lack of class.

Sorry Tromadz I was getting you confused with your little "toady/a$$kisser" G_P_1.
You guys seem to both like following me around these forums. At least you are a Cubs fan which is very admirable and moves you up to knotch 1 in my book. :D

Ahh, so this is what the smack area is like...swatting away a bunch of Bears, Queens and Lions fans. Fair enough.
