The owners are that greedy and that selfish because they can be that smug in their knowledge that the paying customer and TV sponsors will come crawling back on hands and knees through their $50-a-slot parking lots to drink in their superfluous game as if it were drops of water in the Sahara.

It is a business after all. Hard not to be greedy with literally $billions in front of your eyes to grab. I doubt many of us can resist the temptation honestly. But yes this sucks we might not have a season next year. T_T

And the players are not greedy? Come on.
This whole thing is so one sided against the owners. Congrats to the players for making it look that way. It's ridiculous how no one remembers that this is a business and the owners are just that, owners. They should be allowed to reap whatever profits are generated.

The owners have ALL of the business risk on their side, the players have injury risk....that said, the laws of supply and demand will show it is the FANS that dictate how much they will stand for...and the fans love to pay, because they love watching the game. everyone can whine and ***** all they want, but as long as you are willing to pay $200 for a jersey and 4x that for tickets and watch as much as possible on TV (remember, it is the TV rights that are a huge part of the $ side) then it will continue to be a big money game.

The owners committed fraud when they negotiated the tv deals with the goal of not getting the best deal possible.

I dont understand the owners asking for more $ but refuse to open their books.
