Today the Minnesota Vikings tried to make a trade for Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman. Vikings head coach Brad Childress was asked why he thought Grossman would be a good fit for Minnesota. Childress said "We have a long and storied history that we would like to preserve, and Grossman would fit right in." When asked to elaborate on his comments, Childress also stated, "We haven't seen that big of a choke job by a quarterback since, well, since the last time OUR team made the Super Bowl. We were watching, and were honestly jealous of how Rex handled himself (and the football) throughout the game. So we figure Rex could lead us to the Super Bowl next season, and do the same for us!" The Bears would be offered washed up safety Darren Sharper, and washed up (and down) quarterback Brad Johnson. The Bears made a counter offer to the Vikings, saying they would give Grossman up IF the Vikings would sweeten the trade, by NOT including Sharper and Johnson, giving the Bears the Vikings 7th round pick in the upcoming draft, and $15 in McDonald's coupons. Childress was holding out hope for the trade getting done, but said "We think that the $15 in McDonald's coupons is a bit steep.........at least thats what Ziggy (the Vikings owner) says."

now thats a blockbuster trade cheesey. that should be the biggest choke job since the end of that '98 season where the vikes only had one loss, and let their lead slip away in the nfc title game with atlanta in the metrodumper. then they gave the game away in OT. do you remember that cheesey. awesome choke job.

    HA HA, very funny...... :moon:

I am trying to remember the last time the Packers choked.......

Oh ya, much more recently, January 9th 2005:
The Packers had clinched the NFC North and home field for the playoffs.

They were feeling good after winning nine of their last 11 and drawing a team who had lost 20 of their last 22 games outside of domes, and were 8-8 for the season.

Favre was intercepted four times and the "mighty" Packers were decimated.

What team so humiliated the Pack at at Lambeau field?
What was the team that spanked the Packers in their own backyard?

    Oh ya, now I recall.

    Vikings Top Packers 31-17

    Bwaahaaa!

    What cheeseheads! :rotflmao:

Hmmm...selective memory, or as is more commonly known " Packer Fan Recollection"

So, since your memory doesn't go "that" far back, you don't remember Super Bowl XXXI ?

No......i don't. And, lucky for you, i don't remember Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX, AND XI either! Otherwise i'd bring up the fact that the Packers WON Super Bowl XXXI, and the Vikings lost all FOUR of the others. Lucky for you i don't remember that! :rotflmao:

    Ohhhhh......GOOD comeback!
How long did you have to think to come up with THAT one?
(Probably as long as it takes Rex Grossman to figure out WHERE on the ground the football is after the snap!)

So lets see how this works....
The Bears suck because they lost to the Colts in the Super Bowl but the Packers are great because they beat a 6-10 team?

    Packer logic at its finest!
