Tromadz is a jerk

No, I don't really hate tromadz. I just think its messed up that even a smack area thread can be locked. Isn't that the point of this area? Can't you pretty much say what you want?

He made his good bye thread to say 'good bye' and to give his AIM to those who wish to contact him. He did not want any 'stay here plz' or 'good riddence' comments hence the lock on the thread.

In my opinion if someone states they are leaving I believe them. With that said why should we allow anyone to make unwanted comments on his behalf?

He gave his AIM, if you have something to say about him, AIM him up. It doesn't need to be here as he will not be returning to read it.

Its still censorship and unneeded.

What is unneeded is threads of this nature barking because they missed the oppurtunity to talk about someone behind their back.

The thread didn't even originate in 'Smack Area' it was locked when it was still in 'The Atrium'. Another mod felt it neccessary to move the thread.

This would have been brought to your attention right away via PM which you failed to do so first. Instead you now look like someone who is upset at missing the chance of talking about someone behind their back an likes to complain.

We can continue this here [SMACK AREA] or if you have further concerns my PM box is always open.

And this is a real good example of why this site is getting boring. You are way too quick to step in and delete comments that do not mirror your own thoughts and you lock threads for no real reason other than to stop everyone from having a say but yourself.

I'm not sure how I look like someone upset because I didn't get to take a shot at tromadz. First of all, if I wanted to take a shot at him, I could have done it in this thread. I didn't. I liked having tromadz. I like having radical opinions, especially ones that I disagree with. I was trying to discuss why the thread got locked down. Your closing comment makes it seem that you are using your mod power to protect him.

Also, I didn't PM you because I wasn't trying to ask you a question, when I have a question that is just for you, I'll PM you. I thought that this should be brought to light, as such I created a thread.

I gave reason why the thread was locked more than once already. Locate the thread which now resides in 'Smack Area' where it was moved after it was locked while it resided in 'The Atrium'.


This is the smack area. No reason for this to be locked. I can handle people criticizing me. If they are right I will adjust my methods for the better.

On a side note, I never lock a thread or delete a comment for the purpose of having the 'last word' I too much like discussion for that. I dislike being unheard completely and would never do that to someone who didn't break the rules of the site.

You've had issues with me for a time now because you fail to hear me out fully. Aside from what you feel, I am a fair moderator and I hope you give it an open mind so you can see it.

I don't remember you locking P@ckk66 thread when he left. You allowed people to rip him. Then when trom leaves you allowed him to rip a few posters and then locked the thread so we couldn't defend ourselves. It's as simple as that. If you can't see it, Ryan should remove you as a mod.

Locking threads wasn't as common when 66 stated he was leaving, it has gotten hot and heavy and is now settling down a bit more. Everything will work out, we will find a happy medium and if not, I will figure something else out and make some changes... to what, I don't know, guess I will have to figure that out in due time, if needed.
