Made me think of Mike Holmgren's son who is (or at least was) a Cowboys fan.

I do not believe that Holmgren has a son, he supposedly has two daughters.

    He has 4 daughters: http://www.seahawks.com/coaches.aspx?SecID=43&CoachID=1

I thought I remember some commentators saying he had a son who was a Cowboys fan...hmmmm....

Does anyone else know what I'm saying?

I would imagine that the toughest part of being a Viking fan would be putting on purple clothes and then going out in public. :p

but the truthv is everyone hates vikings fans

i have this friend who grought a vikings shirt to school... although i overcame it, theres still a part inside me that wants him dead.

another time i was at the stampede and i saw a guy wearing a culpepper jersey, then a guy wearing a brady jersey (i hate the patriots. and i almost had a stroke.

well ,that shows how sad my love for the packers is... i guess i'm proving your point...

You know, shifty's dad, I agree with the statement that everyone hates viking fans and the team itself. We have traveled extendsively and when people hear we live in MN, they ask if we are viking fans. When we say no, it's almost as if they are breathing sighs of relief. In fact, when we say we are Packer fans, their whole attitude towards us changes. Maybe, it's because almost all viking fans have attitudes.

Yes, Carol, I have to admit everyone and everything hates us.
A friend of mine, who moves around a lot, used to be a Viking fan. But whenever he wore a Viking jersey, the skies would darken and birds would fall dead from the sky.

Townspeople would chase him with pitchforks and torches, and burn his house down.
His children would be beaten at school and his wife forced to work the streets.

But then he put on a Packer jersey.
The Sun would burst forth from the clouds, chasing the rain away!
Dead flowers would suddenly be bursting in color and rainbows would be everywhere!

People would smile at him and beg him to come to their house for dinner.

In fact,I swear I see bluebirds fly out of his a$$ now that he is a Pack fan!

Alas,I must suffer with my purple brethren the slings and arrows the rest of the world sends my way.

But at least we know how to throw a boat party!

    Oh, yeah, beat the bears!

As ashamed as I am to admit it, my son likes the vikings. He doesn't follow football much yet,but he likes the idea of a viking. Kinda like he also likes the cowboys because he likes to dress up like a cowboy. My wife bought him a vikings hat ( almost caused divorce ), but I won't let him wear it out of the house (for his own safety). Then I went out and bought him a Lions winter coat that he of course has to put on before he goes out into the cold michigan winter. I ask for all your prayers for my son. He's only 7 so there's still hope.

How could anyone wear something like that at Stampede (which, IMO, should always be capitalized out of respect).

I can't beat this addiction/sickness. Being a detroit lions fan is not a choice, it's something that just happens that you that you can't get away from no matter how hard you try.
