Brady "baby joke" pulled from SNL?

A joke about New England Patriots QB Tom Brady's pregnancy predicament - which was scheduled to be delivered by his arch-rival Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning - was axed from last week’s “Saturday Night Live,” according to the BOSTON HERALD

Manning's monologue, told a story about visiting a Boston veterans hospital and being taunted by a Pats fan named Joe O’Malley. “What do Tom Brady and the circus have in common?” Peyton said Joe asked him. “They both have two more rings than you.”

According to writer Dan Shanoff, that was not how the joke originally went. In the dress rehearsal, Burlington homegal Amy Poehler was dressed in a Pats jersey and she is the one who delivered the “two more rings than you” line.

To which, Peyton replied “That’s not the ONLY thing he’ll have two more of . .

I thought Peyton was pretty damn good on SNL. I was surprised. Yeah, he looked offscreen at the que card alot, but some of the lines he had were hilarious.

Perhaps Manning himself thought it was in bad taste.

This made me think of a GREAT story line for a new TV show! They could take all the illegitimate kids that Tom Brady makes over the next few years, (I bet there would be at least six of them) have them all adopted by ONE couple, and have them live under the same roof!
They could call the show............"THE BRADY BUNCH!!!" :rotflmao:

As it turns out, there's just one bun in the oven, the other was just a rumor.
As for Manning possibly backing out, I'd say it was a cool thing to do, assuming he and Brady are friends. Would you do it to your friend?
Very little either offends or bothers me, but I find the anti-PC crowd just as amusing as the PC crowd.
