    Texans should get more respect.
Why the Steelers are above them is beyond me, when the Texans totally smoked them earlier this season. They've won with 3 different quarterbacks in, where not a lot of teams can do that. Sure Big Ben is tough blah blah blah, but they just proved they can't survive without him by putting him back in the game with an injury, even though I think they still would have won without him (The Browns have only scored 1 more point than the winless Colts, that's how much their offense sucks, I found that statistic myself for Jules :))

Detroit is the best 8-5 team.
I'm not sold on Denver, even though Tebow is crammed down our throats every single day. Everytime I turn the TV on, I hear his name at least 5 times. I sat down and tally marked on a paper how many times the name "Tebow" was said on ESPN's NFL 32, and within the first 10 minutes, his name was said 24 times vs how many times any other player for the Broncos was said, was 0, and his name was said far more times than "Aaron Rodgers" or "Drew Brees" or "Tom Brady" whom were all mentioned below 10 times by name. Kinda sad if you ask me, the REAL quarterbacks are getting over shadowed now. He still can't complete 50% of his passes, and the teams the Broncos are beating are 500 or below, and they are barely beating those teams at that, by 3 points, and 7 points, counting the 3 OT games that they won. Give credit to Denver's defense for making it close against bad teams. The Lions at that, also beat down the Broncos, so why is Denver higher than Detroit? Oh I forgot, no Tebow, they actually have a quarterback that can put 300 yards up week in week out (Stafford over Tebow any day of the week!).

P.S. ESPN should rename themselves to NSTT: Non Stop Tebow Talk! Cause they can't go 5 minutes talking about the NFL without saying his name. Someone even told me how "Tebow inspires the defense to play so well" LMAO I told him, yeah those guys are more worried about him than their paychecks, which is what would inspire me if I got paid the money they make lol.

Other than that, the other few changes are minor. Everything the power rankings is there for a reason with the exception of Pittsburgh being so high, and Denver being overrated as usual because the most overrated player in the league right now. Also I put the Titans a bit lower, cause I don't care if Chris Johnson had one or two good games. He had yet another BAD game against the Saints defense whom give up 450 yards a game, so I'm not buying into that hype either, and I'm surprised people still act shocked over how bad he has performed this season. The Saints have been giving up 450+ yards to teams with average offenses, and Chris Johnson couldn't even get 50 yards on them. Remember when he said he was going to be better than Earl Campbell? Earl didn't even make close to the money CJ makes, and he knew the quarterback handing him the ball was a bust, but he still gave his 100% until his body couldn't take it. Hey CJ I'm still laughing at you comparing yourself to him!

Best 7-6 teams are Dallas and the Giants, the worst are Chicago and Oakland. The Giants need to be taken care of. I actually think Dallas should have won that game, but their defense blew it. For once I don't blame Romo for that over thrown ball. That defense gave up 15 points in garbage time, talk about blowing it.

Thank you! I edited them earlier this week when I was out in Florida and didn't have my lap top.

Something just looks really wrong how Denver is above Detroit after that beat down the Lions gave them. I really wanted to put Cleveland a bit lower, because statistically, they have only scored 1 point more than the Colts, but I kept them up just for their record sake.

In your corner for the Texans...They went into Cinncy with a 3rd string q/b and won at the very end to get in the playoffs...

As far as Denver, that defense doesnt get enough credit..Sure Tim did have some good plays in the games at the end but the D have allowed, 13, 16t, 17, 18 points and the offense had issues scoring more than that?

Defense don't get enough credit, I totally agree there, but they are not playing playoff teams, and the one playoff team they played scored 40 points on them. Without the turnovers by the defense, they would be losers against 500 or below teams, since Tebow don't do anything until it's 2 minutes left in the game.

*raises hand* Been on the Texans wagon all season!!! All aboard. I am a bit worried Wade is out for a game or two but it is the Panthers and Colts so they should manage. But, for real. Now coaches of the Texans have health issues? *smh*

Gonna be a fun game to watch for the Texans first playoff game. Going to be a tough game for the visiting team. It will be the Texans first playoff game EVER. Should be exciting to watch.

I also don't put much blame on Romo for the loss to the Giants. I thought he was fine. Rob Ryan must think he has Revis and Cromartie out there though considering how much blitzing he does.

Overall my power rankings all year have not changed TOO much.

        1) Packers
2-31) flip a coin at times
        32) Colts

I am not that impressed this season often with the Giants and Cowboys defenses. Which makes me laugh at times since the
great Tom Brady struggled vs. both.

Ravens better watch it the next 3 weeks. At SD, Cleveland and at Cincy. Lose 1 and the Steelers win out and we know what happens.

I love the Texans this season, they are so fun to watch. I still wish they were the Oilers, so we could get some annoying media about Wade Phillips coaching the defense, where his father reigned back in the late 70's LOL. They are the only likable team in the state of Texas. Can't stand the Cowboys, but the Texans to me are the old Oilers, they've grown on me even though I really miss my blue and white.

Mentioning the Cowboys bad defense, it always happens when they have a lead, it's ridiculous.

Rex Ryan has a lead by 14 points, very rarely do you see someone come back from that against the Jets. With the Cowboys, they were up by 12, and let the Giants score 15 unanswered points to win it. They also let the Jets march down the field and win it (even though Romo didn't help, the Defense couldn't stop them either) after they were up by 14 points. I don't think the Cowboys defense has changed at all from late last season. They'll be up by 14 points, and 5 minutes later the game is tied. You are right though, Rob Ryan blitzes too much. When I see it, I have that feeling it goes through his head, he has one of the best pass rushers in the league (Ware) so he can blitz over and over. If Jimmy Johnson had DeMarcus Ware next to Charles Haley and Ken Norton back in the early 90's, I don't think he would have constantly blitzed, he would have tried to do more with him. That's where Rob Ryan is screwing up. he's using Ware strictly to rush, not trying to utilize him at anything else, like stopping the run.

Ware on the Jets would be pretty scary. Rex would be in heaven having a guy like that. I don't think Ware was all himself though vs. the Giants. He got hurt in the Cardinals game but pushes through injuries.

God, go away Giants go away. But, you know what? Atlanta despite being a dome team is probably capable of beating either the Giants or Cowboys in the WC round. Not that I would bet money on Atlanta on the road but some season I do think they are going to crack it open and get a playoff win under Matt Ryan. If they can control the tempo with their run game vs. either NFC East team they have a legit shot to beat either team. Atlanta losing to Houston was what I picked too. I did not get the "shock" over that either.

If Atlanta did get in the playoffs, yet lost their first playoff game, will there be many calls for Mike Smith to go? He could become the new Shottenheimer.

Oh Atlanta is going to the playoffs. The question is if they can get the first playoff win with Matt Ryan. They might be able to this year, depends on how the seeding works out and stuff. Will see how I feel later on. The NFC East is terribly overrated though.

Just realized something. Falcons at Saints for MNF next Monday. ANOTHER prime time Saints game at home. How many have I see in NO this year? *sigh*

edit: I guess Atlanta is not a lock yet.

That would truly suck. If they had to play New Orleans in the playoffs, that would be like us playing the Bears three times in a year.

            Oh wait, we did that!:p

I think Atlanta makes the playoffs and loses in the first round again.

Mike Smith is already 0-3 in the playoffs, I hope he becomes 0-4 lol.

I cannot stand the Falcons. That team always talks like they own everyone, especially Roddy White when he talked all that **** that they lost to the Packers in the playoffs, but they still aren't that good. If he was half of how good he talks, he would be catching all those deep passes that gets thrown his way. Matt Ryan has some of the worst deep ball accuracy, and 50% of it is from overthrown passes, the other is 50% Roddy White who can't play deep ball.

They beat down the JAGUARS, who suck, and all I have heard is how "Elite" Matty Ice is. I guess anyone can be elite completing short passes to receivers that make huge plays, since Brady gets by with it.

Most of my hate for the Falcons comes from living in the South, but I have to say their fan base is not all that bad. Saints/Falcons are a huge rivalry, but I know many Falcon fans that were pulling for the Saints in the Super Bowl, and gave them praise for winning it. Back when the Falcons made it in 1999, I was rooting for Atlanta to beat Denver in the Super Bowl since they stopped the 15-1 Vikings, and most people I know were also pulling for them for that same reason. I'm not a fan of Atlanta, but they have far more classy fans than Chicago, whom was nothing but ****** about the Packers beating them in the NFC Championship last year.

I'll make a bold prediction for the rest of the regular season.

The San Diego Chargers WILL make the playoffs. Either as the 4th seed due to a Broncos slide or as the 6th seed due to the suckage of the other WC contenders.

I would have to wait and see who they play first. It's going to be interesting in the AFC thats for sure. The first seed has also been a sorta jinx in recent years going back to 2005. No first seed in the AFC has won a Super Bowl for a while. The Steelers have done their best as the second seed which you already brought up in another thread.

As for SD. They look damn good lately. Guess it's the December surge they usually have. If they can get in they could be the missing piece in the AFC puzzle I have been looking for. There is something missing in the AFC to shake things up right now, a Jets of the last two year type of team.

Do we have any faith in the Bills beating Tebow in Buffalo? I have to say.....isn't Buffalo going to win ANOTHER game before the year is over? God. Because I think in the finale that the Chiefs can beat the Broncos with Orton getting his revenge and knowing them too well.

The playoff scenario's are funny. There are ways that the Cardinals or Seahawks can even get in as the 6th seed too.

I'm still considering doing a power rankings update as I'm NOT very happy with the ESPN one, especially them bitching about "WTF Denver is at 11? No love for Tebow?"

If I decide to make another one, I'll post it here as I don't want to give anyone trouble with 2 or more topics of the same thing, but it won't be tonight. My mind has been wasted on the evil power of Starcraft II that drained most of my thinking thoughts as I was more concerned about winning some games before Christmas lol
