I heard that Hollywood is going to have silver colored towels for fans to wave at the next Oscars ceremony.
They are going to be called "Tinsel town Towels."

I hear ya and I understand what you're getting at with "it's better to say I think". I know it ruffles feathers to point it out, but it's simply a matter of record and established fact. Hell, it never woulda even occurred to me to mention it if someone else hadn't brought it up first. Steeler fans taking over road games is simply a law of nature like gravity. I had assumed that everybody already knew it.
I don't know who will win the Superbowl. I don't know who will be loudest. I can't make any factual claims about what will go down on Sunday with the exception of this one relatively unimportant matter: There *will* be more Steelers fans in attendance than Packers fans. It's not that Packer fans are any less passionate or dedicated, it's just that there's so darn many of us, we're all over the country, and we live for attending Steeler road games.
It happened back in the early '80s when the steel industry collapsed and literally 40% of us had to move away to find work. Can you picture it? Literally a population of 40 Green Bay-sized cities suddenly picking up and moving across the country?
We spread out across the country, indoctrinated our friends, and raised a new generation of Steeler fans. That's not even counting the bandwagon fans. Most of us can't travel to Pittsburgh and can't hope to get tickets even if we could. So we attend whatever games we can get into.
Now it's reached absurd proportions. Any Steelers Monday night game will have 73% of America's televisions tuned to it.

So that's why I know there will be more Steeler fans in attendance; There's more Steeler fans in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area than there are Packers fans in Green Bay.

I think the only way we will know which fan of which team in the majority in Dallas Dome will be looking at the camera shots of the crowd. And from those we still won't be able to tell unless they do like a 360 shot of the stadium showing each and every section.
So the best way would be to get reports from someone who is there.

And with Green, Gold, and White towels in the air we can assume most if not all are packers fans. Only the people wearing jerseys with northwestern stripes.

That's what they call us :D I picked that up in St. Louis a couple years ago at what was supposed to be a "home game" for the Rams. Nice lady in a corner store was kind enough to give us some scotch tape and she said "I like you... but you're still bumble-people".
Fast Willie Parker broke his leg in that game, but we still ended up with a Lombardi that year.

Wow so this may be why two established franchises shouldn't be in a Super Bowl together. There can only be ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it will be the Pack.

This is why people dont like steeler fans. They come in here telling us there are going to have soooooooo many more fans at games than us. Really? What makes that a fact? Maybe if it was the Panthers sure, but were talking the packers, which according to the harris poll, is more popular than the Steelers.

When steelers fans realize they have as many fans or less I will be excited to hear what excuses they have.

Thats the downfall of having a successful team. Bandwagon fans attach themselves and come across like... cowboy fans lol.

If you are at the SB with one of those noise meters, sure.
But at home, it can sound pretty close.

My point is that the only way to know which fan base will be in the majority is to be there or get a report.
I don't think we will be able to tell with noise alone while watching at home.

Don't you mean the ones that jumped off the Cowboy bandwagon and hopped on the Steeler bandwagon?

I would love to see thousands of "terrible towels" in the stands before the game...

They will look even better on the field in the 4th quarter as the Steeler fans start throwing them in...

Sorry if that makes you "not like us". We have nothing against you guys. But we *are* going to have "sooooooo many more fans at this game than you". I'm sorry that you find reality personally offensive.

BTW, SB ticket sales by state isn't gonna gauge the crowd. We have Steeler fans in every State in the Union. Hell, we have Steeler fans in every major city on the planet.

I went to SB 32, and can tell you, the fan base at a SB is DIFFERENT than ANY other football game.

First off, there are only a few thousand tickets that are a lotted to the participating team's season ticket holders (I seem to think it was 2,000 for each team, but I could be a little off).

Secondly, & this was sad for me, a huge majority of the fans you could tell, were NOT true-blue football fans...I would say 80% (like the couple I saw taking their seats...she was wearing a full length black evening gown, which probably cost thousands, and I guarantee she also had 50 thousand dollars worth of jewelery, with high heels on trying not to fall down walking up the steps LOL for real...he had a tux on).

It was SO strange listening to crowd noise being equal for both teams (which is why I say it is different at the SB than any other game). There is NO home field crowd...OR, both teams have a "home" crowd...take your pick.

For the squeller's fans that are offended that they don't get credit for inventing the "terrible towels"...I agree...you did, but I think it came from the fact, that, you needed something to wipe the tears off LOL!

I'll stick with my Cheese baby...it taste MUCH better!

    Really?
This is the best you can come up with?
    China?
Do you not know that China is a communist country, practically a dictatorship?
Those kids aren't Steelers fans or doing the chant by choice. They are doing the rally chant because they HAD to or else they would be executed at recess.
(Well, I'm kidding sort of, but I think you get the point.)
And they sure do sound excited for their Steelers, aren't they?
They probably have no clue what the Steelers are or what they are saying.
So if any of your fan base is a bunch of half hearted kids being forced to chant, you can have 'em.

Those kids are not Steelers or even football fans.
    Nice try.
    Wanna try again?
