Yeah, they're called Cheesehead hats and The Lambeau Leap.....DURRRRRRRRRRR

BTW. When you guys are waving yours, we'll wave our Green ones and It'll look like Green and Gold in the stands. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Nobody will even realize Steeler fans are there. ha ha

Just know that everyone bought is helping out a disabled American.

I just realized the other day that I went to school with the owner's kids.

So so so sooooooooooooo glad that ours are Green and White. So at the start of the game, it will all be Packers colors. Unless some Steeler fans want to dirty their towels black.

The money going to a good cause is nice and I'm glad to see it, but how many Packers fans do you think will realistically be at the game and with these towels? Likely not enough to make as big a difference as you're hoping for.

Not any more or less than Steeler fans. Both team's fan bases travel well.

The Steelers' fan base is THE best at traveling, bar none. Furthermore, the Terrible Towel has been around for a LONG time. It is common for people to already own and bring them to the game. These Packer towels are new and I'd bet that not even a tenth of the Packers fans in the stands will have one.

Yeah we get it already, your fan base is THE best according to you and the rest of your fans that get on this forum looking to argue with Packer fans.

Uhhh.... The top 2 fan bases in the NFL are Steelers and Packers. Before that... About 5 years ago, it was Cowboys and Packers... (aka before the bandwagon steelers fans started following the Steelers)...

Can you show me proof that you guys are the best traveling team? Because in our 3 away games these playoffs, and even during the regular season, you could hear SO many Packers fans yelling "Kuhnnnnnnn" and "Go Pack Go!"

We heard the same from Bears fan last week about how the Bear fans are THE BEST and how we were going to be leaving Soldier field crying and they'd be waiting with tissues for us. Falcons too, and we took over their stadium by the 3rd quarter.

Luckily the SB is a neutral site, and there will be just as many Packer fans as Steeler fans. I'm hoping for a good game, but comparing who's fan base is better is silly. Steeler and Packer fans are recognized as some of the best in the league. It's a non issue.

Oh my geez. You joined in on the conversation too, sir. That's why we are talking about it now! WOW!.

I wasn't going to comment until you acted like your fan base was superior to ours; I knew what you meant before.

Edit: aaaaand he deletes his post.

ZackofSteel, I was trying to be nice, but you obviously can't be, so I deleted your personal attack which violates the rules of the forum btw. Start a thread in the smack talk section if you want to continue with your smack.

    To answer the OPs question:
This line from the article should answer it: "It's the perfect storm," McArthur said Tuesday as he awaited final approval from the National Football League on the Packers' item.
Nother words; It's not availble yet which is why you can't find it online.

IMO you guys should just stick to the cheese-heads and the leap. Every team in the league tries to drag out some sort of "rally towel" when they play us, but it never catches on. The towel is a Pittsburgh thing, and every time we see fans of another team twirling towels we just take it as a sign of respect.
And yeah, Steeler Nation is the best-travelling fan base in the league. Well... "travelling" isn't really the appropriate word because we already live there.

So we go from someone just asking where to buy an item to you guys coming here to cry how you have the best fans and invented the towel? It's a towel. We're all fans.

Really??? Why would Packer fans want to copy an original idea? Pretty pathetic actually, you guys have now lowered yourselves to Bengal and Ravens standard.

Actually you should try reading the linked story or at least try to understand it and and stop turning something good and fun into something ugly. But... that seems to be what you like. Are you guys sure you're not Bears fans?

lol @ these Steelers fans talking 'best fans in the league'

they are not a touch on packer nation. When you can sell out a 70,000 seater stadium with a town with a population of 100,000 come and talk some trash

oh and btw those 6 superbowls sound awfully nice next to most teams but we have 12 championships. And in 2 weeks we will have 13, you've got a long way to go before you start mixing it with the big boys

Ya know... I'm not here to talk smack. You guys are proud of your fan base and team and you should be. I'm just correcting some misperceptions that some members on this forum are puttin' out there.
Packers fans are no doubt the best fanbase in the league in some categories, but this just happens to not be one of them. No other team in the league (not even you guys) has a road situation like the Steelers. If anybody seriously thinks there will be more Packer Backers in attendance at the Superbowl, well... you'll find out different next weekend.
And the towel thing is just simply what I said. Not only is it unoriginal, but even the concept of trying to copy the towel is unoriginal. Everybody tries it, but it never catches on.

I think you honor your team more effectively by sticking to uniquely Green Bay traditions.
    /just sayin'...

Not sure what the Steeler fans think they have on the Packers.

History? Not a chance. Steeler fans like to forget their first 40 years in the league.

Stadium? I dont know about you but I never heard anyone say they dreamed of going to 3 rivers stadium some day. Also we have never named any of our stadiums after a brand of condiment.

Fans? You think you travel well? Guess you dont know about the packers. Whats your waiting list for season tickets? a couple years? You mean you dont go on the waiting list at birth in Pittsburg?

Players? I can only think of one position where you have had a player at one point better than the best we have ever had, and thats safety ( I could listen to an argument for Center, I liked webster). Yet we own you at the majority of positions. WR? Best WR of all time. QB? Best QB of all time if your talking post season. Coach? Not the best ever but they didnt name the trophy after him bc he was just ok at this job. DE? Come on man, Best ever. MLB? Push lets say.

Importance to the area? I hear alot about what the Steelers mean to the people of the area. And thats nice, but I am willing to bet you dont own your team like our fans do. Towels are nice, and I put them in the same category as cheeseheads. Both are slightly strange in my eyes but they mean something to the fans of each franchise.

Not trying to bash you or your franchise, but just reminding you that the Green Bay Packers and their fans take a back seat to no one.

It's not PACKER fans trying to copy the Steelers towel. It's the guy who INVENTED the Steeler's Towel who is making a Packer version. Get your facts straight and go to him with your complaints.
