If you guys can recall during these last 2 weeks how many steelers fans hopped on this forum to talk
up their team. All I remember hearing about were these comments about their team that I couldn't
agree with. I remember just shaking my head reading this kind of stuff & I'm not calling them out, I'm simply reminding everyone what was said on this board that urked me...and it probably urked all of you too...nothing more gratifying then this...once again this is off the top of my dome

1.How the PACKERS have never faced a defense like "theirs"...

2.The NFC defenses are like the "JV" and the Steelers are the "varsity"...

3.How can we hope to cover Mike Wallace b/c he so "fast" (woodson stride for stride w/ him before he broke his collar bone)...

4.Troy Polamalu is the DMVP and can basically hurt the Packers offense...

    5.Big Ben is so clutch...

6.Mendenhall is going to rack up 140 on the Packers...

    7.we can't stop the run...

8.we are only as good as our first 16 games (not the last 5)...

9.They have all this SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP experience and it's an advantage

10.the NFC is not as strong as the AFC, the NFC is weaker?

10.b you kidding me? I can name barely 4 worthy teams in the AFC & at least 6 NFC capable of winning a super-bowl

11.the steelers have the "underdog" mentality

    12.the steelers secondary is underrated

13.the Steelers core group of wr's is underrated

    14.missing pouncey won't be a problem

15.expecting Aaron Rodgers to have a tough day getting hit the whole game

16.the freaking ridiculous analysis from fans that made them feel like they knew they would win this game b/c they are basing it on stats of the packers through 16 games, percentages of Rodgers production when he gets hit

once again, just like to point out what I remember reading these last 2 weeks & guess what THEY WERE FAR FROM ACCURATE!!!

    SUPERBOWL CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS

THE INEXPERIENCED PACKERS cannot be STOPPED & no DEFENSE CAN HOLD BACK OUR MVP!!!

And that is why I refrain from being a troll/overly boastful about my team before a game...

... If you're wrong, you look like an ***. I'll save my boasting for AFTER the game, thank you very much :happy0005::chisux::viksux::detsux:

The one that always sticks out to me is the AFC > NFC. You'd have to be either ignorant, or not know a thing about football to make such a stupid global judgment like that.

I remember the fighting between our mods (as well as our members) and members of Steeler Nation just as much.

Pack fans, I wasn't one that came in here before the game to talk smack, but I did want to stop by and give my congratulations on a very well played game. The entire GB organization from top to bottom is a class act, and your team won a well deserved SB. Hope we get a chance to try it again next year.... SIGH.... long off-season....

We had boasting fans all season long.
But nowhere near as many as the Stealers fans or who said as many asinine things as are pointed out above.

It will be interesting to see what happens next season.
Will we get opposing fans at all to trash talk the SB winners?
Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes.
But yet, I feel, there will be the haters on here talking smack no matter how well the Packers are doing.

We'll just have to wait and see and if/when they do talk smack, we'll have to remind them of the last time that happened!

armand34 you missed one. Anything the Packers can do the Steelers can do better. Every sly comment giving the Packers a compliment turned to an insult one sentence later.

What feels the best is any smack talker can talk of how Aaron Rodgers is over rated, yet if he truly was over rated and stats padded, his receivers could catch the ball.

Our defense is over rated? Um, well in the Super Bowl we lost our team leader to a broken collar bone, and still won. Also how many starters on our defense have been out for at least one game last season? Oh and we beat one of the healthiest teams in the league at the NFC championship, and they couldn't overcome injuires? HA.

Our special teams is our weakness. Yeah we all know that, the lineman run in Foxboro was shameful, but remember the awesome onside kick?

What about the Steeler fans saying Rodgers would be leaving the game on a stretcher (on other forums) after Harrison got through with him.
