Green Bay ranked last in total defense (allowing 411.6 yards a game) and allowed more passing yards than any team in N.F.L. history (an average of 299.8 a game). No team with the league’s worst defense during the regular season has won the Super Bowl.

Yep, kinda like a few years ago, the worst team in the league against the run had never won the big game, then the Colts got hot in the playoffs and won a soggy one in Florida. There's always a first.

Yes, anything's possible, but the odds of overcoming this one appear long, don't they?

    Keep this stat in mind

No team has ever won a Super Bowl with the record of 9-7.

And since you said anything is possible, you must be referring to a team to win it with that defense ranked 32nd.

Yes this really matters now. I mean the D ranked first overall got embarrassed in Denver Sunday.

Too bad regular season stats don't carry over into the playoffs all the time.

Think about this... The Giants defense is ranked 2nd in the NFL in team sacks with 48 and this is without our all pro DE out for half the season. Conversely the packers offensive line is ranked in the bottom third of the NFL in sacks allowed with 41... OSI is back and playing at a high level add it up and I see trouble for the pack on Sunday...

    So?
Then how come that D is also part of a team that went 15-1?
How come that D kept opposing teams from outscoring the Packers?
Bringing up those numbers of the Packers D is lame and doesn't mean :poop:.
All your doing is just trying to reassure yourself.
This Packers D steps up when it is time and leads the league in interceptions.
Think about that and FEAR THE PACK BECAUSE THEY ARE BACK!
Plus this game is in Lambeau.
    Giants will lose.

Packers have faced a tougher defense with a worse line in the biggest game against two of the best passrushers in the league...its funny Rodgers doesn't play for two weeks and Brees is the only QB worth worrying about...don't forget Rodgers has played the qb position better then most EVER have this year...and you still haven't seen his best game

    Worse defense? Wrong

Worse at passing yards allowed, ok. however, your aware that they also had the most passing attempts on them then anyone else?637.... So it can be said that the more the teams pass on you, the more yards they gain..

    Comparison---
Packers- 637 att, 29 tds, 31 ints, 7.5 yards per pass att
Giants-- 580 att, 28 tds, 20 ins, 7 yards per att

You really want to talk smack on our pass defense when in fact yours is lacking with the REAL stats that count..TDs, and ints...Even tho our def had 57 more atts ( about 2 full games worth) we gave up LESS TD and had more ints..

Hey look at Pitts...Best pass def this year...They are going to win the Sup.....ooopps they lost to Tebow...

Know something interesting? Mostly all season, fans of teams thought, we will win because the Packers give up the most passing yards..How many were right?

All that, and a 15-1 record. Also the defense that had the MOST takeaways.

are the packers not the best offense in the league? Do they not have the best qb in the league?

Answer....no dude the giants crushed the jets offense w sanchize throwing 51 times, the most unclutch qb in recent history, n an offense that lives n dies by their running game...therefore they will beat anybody

Ummm, the packers are not like those teams, and the giants came close in the last meeting, but that would be the only evidence I would use to see how well the giants do, not what sanchize does, 4omo, n Matty not so nice

Yo, us packers fans watch football too, well aware of what the giants can do and they got a good shot, but my money is on the pack

I don't care what the numbers say. I still think the Pat D is crappier.

I watched Dan Orlvosky go up and down the field on them in Foxboro for Gods sake. And then Rex Grossman.

And I won't be shocked if Tim Tebow experiences heaven with the Pats D Saturday night either.

You're right I digress you were missing a probowler on the O line for a significant part of the year... But offensive lines work as a unit you can't blame the obvious deficiencies you are having up front on one guy there are issues all along that line due to injury and having to piece it together all year. Come Sunday those issues will be magnified by a superior pass rush!!! Take a look at OSI's numbers this year in only nine games played he's second in the NFL in rush attempts per Sack... The Giants D Line is going to abuse your guys up front, you can take solace in the fact that Rodgers gets it out quicker than anyone else HE BETTER!!!

You do make some valid points... Rodgers is the best quarterback in the league this year and the Packers are head and shoulders above the Jets Cowboys and the Falcons... Hey you could even say that about the giants if you just look at the numbers.. however you're not the leagues best offense and while I admit that you are not those teams we are NOT the same team you saw last time... We had numerous injuries before and during that game that had obvious impacts on the outcome... Now I know you could say the same thing about your own injuries but the fact still remains that we are healthy now and playing at a very high level. I am looking forward to this game as both teams are now relatively healthy and for whomever wins or loses there should be no excuses. Here's to a great game!!!!

We havent played in ages with our O-L back..So they just might be as good, or even better then your D-L...Or they could lay an egg...

No one REALLY knows how our O-L will play.., but you cant ASSume your D-L will have a field day, and that is what a lot of the G fans are doing....

May not have been technically typed out, but that is what we are seeing in this forum...

You all might be right and will congratulate you..but the level of confidence towards our team (based on no real evidence because the O-L hasnt been together in a long time) is outstanding
