Hello. I am a Viking fan and a purplepride member. I see that the other 2 threads declaring war are locked. Let me just say that the member who posted these should go and be a Bears fan, we do not want him.

Already tonight a person who signed up there as "VikingsSuckBalls" came in full of piss and vinegar and was banned immediately. I am not saying he is one of yours. But, I do know that PP.O members who try and rally the masses to attack Packer boards are quickly released. It's childish. Sure, some intelligent banter is fun. But coming to the site you call home and reading a bunch of filth is immature.

The dome has been sold out every year for a long time. Pre-season, scrimmages, and training camp is flooded with Viking fans. I don't know where you have been.

I won't bash the ViQueens but I do know a Viking fan who once called this guy a Sucker and a bad Poker Player !!!

The man is overrated and has an attitude problem. He was also subject to the biggest televised bluff in WSOP history. He was and is a goof from that day on. Greg Raymer and Mike Matasow are the two best poker players (hold-em) on the circuits. That's just my opinion. Nice Omaha barcelet Sammy...what was the field 400?

Vikeman, I have been around for quite awhile--probably a lot longer than you have. I remember the days--not too many years ago that people in the twin cities area couldn't see the vikings play because the dome hadn't been sold out. It wasn't until Old Red bought the team that the fans started coming to the games. I also have friends who are viking fans--only when the team is winning. I know there are probably Pack fans like that too, but not as many as there are vike fans who are fairweather ones.

Sammy is an amazing player, don't kid yourself. Although I also agree that Raymer doesn't get the respect he deserves. On the other hand, the mouth has never shown me anything to say he's world class other than his random blow-ups that work out for him.

And, of course, there's the worst poker player I've everseen...Moneymaker. uke:

you have no proof one way or another that there are more fairweather viking fans then packer fans. the packers have been around alot longer anyway so it's an unfair statement. they have a much deeper fanbase. i have a buddy of mine who like you likes the packers. the only time he dusts off his sterling sharpe jersey is when the packers win...and he still thinks your head coach is linde infante. you watch any away vikings game and the stands are filled with purple...not as much as green bay fans because they have more fans. you visit any internet message board and look at team activity...minnesota is always at the top. here's an example http://forums.espn.go.com/espn/category?categoryID=46

don't get me wrong, packer fans, after steeler fans have the best fans in the nation. i would hope they would since they have been around since 1919 and joined the nfl in 1921. I am 42 years old by the way, not 24 like you may think.

Hey remember when Reggie White sacked the crap out of Warren Moon and he fumbled and Sean Jones recovered as we kicked the vikings *** 38-21 then beating the vikes on a last second fg in their house was awesome on christmas eve a few years back. When we came back to beat them in lambeau 4 or 5 years ago was pretty sweet of course vike fans say the refs gave the game to us.

Vikeman, you really should do your homework on Sammy, I never said he was the greatest of all time but his stats show he is no chump my friend and his ring Omaha game is where he is feared by all his peers.

Yes Ohio.....tis true.......there are good and bad people that are fans of all teams. You seem like a classy guy. Unfortunatly we get some of the not so classy anti-Packer ones here often too.
I don't mind it being in fun either, but when it becomes personal attacks it's too far for me too.

I agree. I love the witty banter of rivals. It's better when their is intelligent conversation and humor. I hate the people that come in a make a new thread "The (insert team here) sucks butt". Why even bother with these baffons. Regardless of the team, all teams have some fans that are immature clowns (Bears, Eagles, and Giants come to mind) and there are teams that have spectacular fans that are really interesting to chat with. I really like to read their opinions about their team. It's a lot more insightful from a fan rather than ESPN.

Some people though make attacks on a persons family, and so on. There's NO place here for those types.
I'm a Packer fan, and always will be. But i wouldn't kill someone because they are a fan of a rival team. I have seen some real nut cases.
I was at a Milwaukee Bucks game in Milwaukee back when i was a teen, and some idiot from Chicago (they were playing the Bulls) was saying REAL nasty stuff, sitting right behind us. The game ended (the Bucks won by 30) and this Chicago jerk slapped my friends WIFE right across the face! My friend grabbed the guy and threw him down about 10 rows, and we had to stop him or he would have killed the guy. WE saved a BULLS fan.
I mean, come on! Slapping a woman because of the outcome of a GAME!?!?
Theres no reason for a man to slap a woman period!

One thing I find humorous is you hear alot of Viking fans here in Minny talk about all the fat women in Wisconsin but jeezuz I have lived in Minny for 1/2 my life (17 years) and my god there are alot of "fat women" here! I mean the whole state should be on a diet. And as far as Hillbillys go yeah ease up to some of the small towns in minny holy hillbilly!

Funny you say that carol k most of my family are Viking fans (Dad, Uncles, Grandparents etc) and they do not wear their jerseys until the Vikes are winners! That sort of fan sucks!

I have traveled all over the country, and guess what? There are PLENTY of fat women, AND FAT MEN in ALL states! I lived near the U.P. of Michigan for a couple of years, and when we would go up to Iron Mountain to shop, there were some of the most beautiful women i have ever seen up there. Who would think that there in the middle of no where, there would be so many pretty women! And the GUYS they were with..........i mean, i'm no "Fabio", but MAN these guys were ugos! (So Zero......now you know where to move to!) J/K!!!LOLOLL!!! :lol:

I live in the Cities,,,Man, the Vikes do not have much to brag about, that is why they need to rip on something else. Why do you think on a Vikes Forum most of the subjects do not deal with football but instead, experiences of driving through Wisconsin. Man I could totally say the same thing about driving in the cities. This happens in any state you go (dumbass Vikes fan). Now to actually something sports related~The vikes have the worst ran organization, and BTW they are the laughing stock of sports with the love boat, Wizz a nator. Heck,,,why not Minnesota sports in general, like eddie griffin crashing his car while spanking the monkey. The only teams with any class in the cities are the twins and Wild. BEfore the vikes fans start ripping Sconny fans,,they should look at how fair weathered they are. A true fan sticks by their team through thick and thin,,,Vikes fans,,cheer when they win, and ignore the team when they lose. Why do you think the vikes have to force preseason tickets on people just for trying to buy a ticket for a packer/vikes game. no "true" fan support. All I have to say,,,,Packers have sold out since......??..........and have 50,000 + people on the waiting list for season tickets. So the issue is really that the vik-queens do not have much to cheer about this year. UNless they win,,,,then you get to see the true VIks fan,,,,
