These satistics were listed today in the journal sentinel and show just how poor the packer defense has performed this season.
Team record for most touchdowns passes allowed, the packers have given up 33 so far this season . This breaks a team season record of 31 set in 1986. This leads the NFL.
The team record for fewest interceptions in a season is 11 in 1976. So far this year the packers only have 7.
But this could be the most telling stat of all. The packer defense has allowed a passer rating of 100.6 against them this season. This is breaking the club season record of 86.1 set in 1958.
Looks like we should see a real shakeup on the defensive side of the ball this off season.
Lets hear what you guys think are the keys to turning this around.

The bad thing is their problems on defense aren't isolated to one area. They have multiple problems all over the defense that need to be addressed. I'm hoping that in time some of the young guys like Thomas and Carroll can improve with experience on defense the way Walker and Ferguson did on offense. That would help some. But they still need a better pass rush, even though they did well in that area today against the Bears.

Our defense wasn't great last year either, but it's amazing how much worse it is this year compared to last year. The major changes are Carroll for McKenzie, and Roman at safety among the starters, and Slowik at defensive coordinator. It makes me wonder how much of their problems are coaching related, and how much are a lack of talent.

    Nick Barnett=All world player

    Grady Jackson=Difference Maker

    Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila=Pass Rush Extraordinaire

    Darren Sharper=Playmaker

Those are the only 4 true studs on our D.

You can make a case for Diggs and/or Carroll and MAYBE Harris. But other then that, it's pretty much a terrible, terrible defense.
