The Packers only are on CBS a maximum of 2 times a year (although that could change with the new NFL TV contract starting next season). Incidentally, they've had quite a bit of success in recent years on CBS: (announcers courtesy 506sports.com)

2013:
W vs. Cleveland - Kevin Harlan & Solomon Wilcots

2012:
W vs. Jacksonville - Greg Gumbel & Dan Dierdorf
W vs. Tennessee - Greg Gumbel & Dan Dierdorf

2011:
W vs. Denver - Jim Nantz & Phil Simms
W vs. Oakland - Jim Nantz & Phil Simms

2010:
W vs. Buffalo - Spero Dedes & Randy Cross
L vs. Miami - Ian Eagle & Dan Fouts

2009:
L vs. Cincinnati - Ian Eagle & Rich Gannon

2008:
W vs. Indianapolis - Jim Nantz & Phil Simms
L vs. Houston - Gus Johnson & Steve Tasker

2007:
W vs. San Diego - Jim Nantz & Phil Simms
W vs. Oakland - Kevin Harlan & Rich Gannon

Some things to note:
  • Obviously the Packers' record in these games is going to be good because they're all home games. CBS only broadcasts AFC away games (although the new NFL TV contract will allow them more NFC games starting next season).
  • The Packers always seem to come ready to play when the #1 crew of Nantz & Simms is at Lambeau.
  • On the other hand, Ian Eagle brings the Packers bad luck.
  • This week, the Packers will get neither the good luck of Nantz/Simms nor the classiness of Greg Gumbel. Instead it'll be Harlan along with "Solomon's Wisdom." Kind of hard to believe a game between two of the NFL's most storied franchises gets CBS's #5 team.

Another thing to consider is just how good or what were the records of those opponents when the Pack played them?
The Cleveland Clowns: No problem.
Steelers? Could go either way. Especially since we don't have Rodgers.
Superstitions, to me, are just silly.
Last time we beat Dallas at home was back in 1989. I took that into account to pick Dallas to win.
I learned to never again go by winning/losing trends.

Well, whatever helps ya sleep at night by all means go with that.
To each their own.
