The George Halas Trophy actually has a new look this year. Compare old to new:

The new trophy isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I liked the original better. Anyway, it would be nice to be the first team to host the new trophy.

I learned about it back when they announced this year's Super Bowl logo, that there would be new trophies and new logos for everything. You'll notice that the new NFC Championship logo as well as the other playoff logos look sort of like the new trophy. The new logo is on FOX11online.com, which as I just found out is a Wisconsin station. (I don't know Wisconsin stations, I'm from dreadful Pittsburgh.)

The old trophy represented the conference. This new one makes it look like just a semi-finals.

I'm with you guys.
I like the original one because it's not a typical cliched' football.
Making it look like a football is just too obvious and not creative at all.
Plus the original is easier to hoist up with that wider base.
And isn't that the tradition of the winning team? To hold it up above the heads?
It looks like the new one would get dropped.
And here's another thing: Halas and Lombardi were both one of a kind. So their trophies should represent that too and not look alike.

Someone once was quoted that George Halas "has all the warmth of breaking bones".
