I think it will be Weeks or Fielder. I really like Sheets, but it seems he can't make it through a season.

I would agree with the majority and vote for either Hall or Fielder, although I will give Weeks an outside shot as he is going to set the tone for the offense and shouuld see his power numbers increase as well.

Well after watching a couple of the spring training games, for whatever they are worth... I predict the following for the Brew Crew..

They will be above .500 by at least 5 to 10 games this year.... an excellent shot at the division or "wild" card, and will have a one of the premier pitching staffs if Sheets can stay healthy.

Suppan will be close to a 20 game winner, but I don't think he will make it. Fielder will become the leader of this team early on this year, more by play on the field than voicing it, but he will be the tone setter. We will deal Jenkins or Mench before the All Star break for a bull pen lefty. Turnbow will settle back into being a very reliable setup pitcher and giving the Brewers options if they need more offense sometime during the year. Somehow I think Hall will be back in the infield sooner or later at third and Gwynn Jr. will finally become a Major League ball player this year.

Okay so now I set myself up for the Brewers to let me down again this year, but like the NFL offseason, one can dream:)

That's some pretty lofty stuff dude. I'd be very happy with a .500 club and 14-16 wins for Sheets and Suppan at this point. Even 14-16 wins for both of them would be something else.

However, I have to say, unlike past years, I have a lot of faith in this year's bullpen.

Well off to a great start, complete 1 run game for sheets and a balanced offense. Maybe the every 25 year thing may hold true:)

You guys have a lot of good young talent but it's unfortunate the Brewers payed so much for Suppan. Coming from a Cardinals fan he wasn't that spectacular (except against the Brew Crew :rotflmao: ) You guys are better than the Pirates, around the Reds, and probably better than the Cubs (they'll fall apart). 3rd place in the central.

16-9 through April and a 3.5 game lead... so far so good for the Brew Crew. Kinda looks like Suppan turned the table on the Cards :)

I honestly hope things turn around for the Cards though, it has been a tough year.

The Brew Crew are playing as good on the road as they are at home.
That's a good sign that this may be their year.

My dream is to have the Tigers and Brewers in the World Series.

Great week for the Brew Crew.

Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder today was named National League player of the week for the week ending on Sunday.

Fielder batted .440 (11 for 25) during the week with four home runs and 12 RBI. He scored eight runs, had an on-base percentage of .533 and a .960 slugging percentage.

Fielder socked two homers and scored the decisive run Sunday in the Brewers' 6-4 victory over Pittsburgh.

Other nominees for the week included Brewers shortstop J.J. Hardy (.536, 2 HRs, 9 RBI), right-hander Jeff Suppan (2-0, 1.84) and reliever Carlos Villanueva (2-0, 0.00 ERA).

For a big man, he has some pretty darn good moves!
I think the Brewers are for real this year!
