    Why would we want to?

But if you really want to know, find a post they have done, click on their screen name and a list should show up.
On the list is "Find all posts.." click on that and that will show you their most recent posts.

I was thinking it's the year of Lombardi:

    Lombardi, The Musical.
    Lombardi, the HBO documentary.
Lombardi - the coach who loved the Green Bay Packers like they were his own flesh and blood
Lombardi Trophy - the award that bears his name, and wants to come home

(Great answer to the Steelers poster, BTW!)

Thanks - I really was thinking it!

You're asking why I said that he loved the Packers like his own flesh and blood? It was my impression from the book "When Pride Still Mattered" by David Maraniss. In it, Marie Lombardi talked about how much Vince loved his Green Bay Packers - I'll dig up the exact quote when I have the book in front of me, but I got the impression from what she said that his love for the team was truly intense.

I haven't read it in years, but I think I'll make re-reading it my Super Bowl week project. It's just an outstanding book.

I read this thought this was pretty corny, anyone else agree?

This is so weak, I can barely work up the interest to respond to it...but:

Tom Brady went to the musical...so? He also beat your team like a rented mule this year.

The name "Lombardi" is very much alive, and we are his legacy. We are. We are what he built. We are what he poured his life into.

I think he'd like to see his Packers win this one. Can they do it? We'll see.

P.S. I believe you mean "Titletown". For the reason why, check my tag.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if the name on that trophy is Lombardi, wouldnt the home be Green Bay?

Wow, so Lombardi made his mark as an assistant in NY?

    Or maybe with the Redskins?

You know as well as EVERYONE here, the trophy STARTED in GB

Nice try though I'll give you that

No one is expecting you to bow down to the Pack, just do not under estimate them..

Are you that ignorant to sit there and say

If Lombardi never became a head coach the trophy would still be named after him?

    So again

it was his days in Green Bay that got the trophy named after him

    Not narrow...

If Lombardi never became head coach his name would not be in the trophy..

    How is that narrow?

As far as a coach career, then yes his Washington and NY days have to be considered

All bets are off in the Big Game, regardless of the trophies on the mantle, or the name of the trophy. The best team will win. The team who wants it more will win. And stats are for losers.

Oddly enough, your defense is nothing but a variant of the 3-4 defense - a defensive scheme that first came into the NFL when a relative of mine left Oklahoma to go to the Patriots as head coach, and brought the 3-4 with him. :hunter:

I agree with this. BOTH teams will be playing their best football, and whichever one doesn't deserves to lose. The better team will come out on top. It's going to be a great game.

Tough schedule, 9 teams with a losing record and 1 team with 8-8.

Hey, nobody's allowed to say anything good about a Bears fan!

These Steeler fans seem to be just as obnoxious as the Bears fans. I'll give 'em that.

Like I said, a variant of the 3-4. Just some added Zone Blitz schemes.

But really, my main point was that it isn't like the Steelers had this original defensive scheme they invented and everyone copied it and stuff - the Steelers copied it from elsewhere as well.

And yes, Dom Capers was a defensive coach of my team - but back in 2008 :)
