Doesn't sound like Peyton is healthy yet to me based on this. I don't know anymore. I figured by now he should be close but if he isn't we might have a problem.

I was thinking the same, but am also thinking it might help facilitate a possible trade scenario if he is healthy. Honestly, at this point, if Peyton can play and the Colts are in a true rebuild mode, I'd like to see him go somewhere like Baltimore or San Fran where he could compete for a title right away, as opposed to spending the end of his career floundering in a bad situation.

Hmmm interesting. I did hear someone say that too. This will be one interesting offseason thats for sure.

The thing is I kinda think they might let Caldwell go if they go with Luck and only Luck. They might want to start over. But, on the flip side since Caldwell was the QB coach for Manning they might want him to stay in some capacity at least. I also have no idea what happens with Caldwell.

All reports were that Caldwell & Manning had a good relationship while Caldwell was the QB coach. Not sure how that's gone since he took over as HC. Some of the video seemed to show 18 wasn't always in agreement with JC & his calls. They need to get more balance on O no matter who is under center.

Sounding like we may well have seen the end of a great run. Looks like the talks to push back his roster bonus may be a lot more serious than I had wanted to see.

Holy crap, the Colts board keeps getting worse. There's someone there who is convinced that the Colts are trying to drive up the asking price for Luck, Archie is trying to drive up the asking price for Peyton, and then just started a thread asking if Archie would be a good fit for the vacant GM position. Same person. So under his presumptions, we may trade the rights to the #1 pick, trade Peyton, and then hire Archie as GM. I'm thinking his meds are causing adverse reactions with each other.

Then there are others who think Cleveland is willing to give up this year's and next year's draft picks to get Luck. Apparently Ricky Williams' hidden stash has been found in the greater Indy area.

What madness drove him to post that?! That makes no sense at all. Are you sure this guy is an actually Colts fan and not a troll? It sounds like he's trying to sabotage the Colts.

I'm thinking he's a very casual Peyton fan whose perfect world fell apart and he has no idea how to cope. If he's this insecure behind a keyboard, I hope his real life is far better. He's been there for a while, and has actually had some decent, well thought posts.

I don't know, maybe his tinfoil hat is messing with his tv reception, and he's only getting tiny bits of very scrambled ESPN coverage...

      lmao

I did join the forum there under the name "Jules" but don't think I post. I almost did but then I saw some threads and said why bother. I used to post there way back under the old setup but most of the new posters seem new. I think Colts forums drove many away.

I have to say I don't get Archie lately. He says Peyton might not be back. Then he will. He said a while ago Peyton/Luck can't be on the same team. Then he says he can.

Sometimes I wish Archie would shut up. He can be such a stage dad.

Well, looks like there's a new GM in Indy, Ryan Grigson. The news was broken by Adam Schefter over an hour after it was all over the Colts forum, way to be on top of your game, Adam!

There are a lot of people keying on his time with the Eagles, and not in a good way, but he's a local boy, played at Purdue, had ties to the Rams. Now waiting to hear Blinky is out, please!

Depends on his health. It's something that makes me very nervous. If he gets cleared I still have this fear he could like get crippled next year on the field. It's his freaking neck. They have to be very very careful of this and think carefully about his long term health. He wants to play I have no doubts. But, he also is a husband and father and has a life.

And if they take Luck they have to do something about Peyton's contract. Can't field a competition team with that much money in two guys.

I don't know what I would do yet. I kinda wish they would make some more moves though.

Hell we might be seeing Peyton waltz around the SB lmao. Especially if Eli is there.

Wow, so Rob Lowe is saying Peyton is going to retire, which earned the following response from Jim Irsay:

      He's the best owner EVER!

First of all, why is Rob Lowe saying these things and how does he know?Someone said he knows Irsay? Is this true?

Isn't this is a bit weird?

And I hear Jeff Saturday is considering retirment.

New gm also sounds like he wants to focus more on defense. Too much cap space he said on offense. WHAT A CONCEPT. You mean we don't want to be a one man team again?

No idea why Rob is chiming in on this (or any other) situation. Looking at Irsay's tweets lately, it looks like he's getting really fed up with the rumors, though it really shouldn't be too surprising. For a team to have played at the level the Colts have for the last decade, then to have a one season total collapse, followed by all these changes and uncertainty, it should be expected.

As for Saturday, he's been mulling retirement for the past couple of years. I think if they were to keep Mike Pollak and move him back to center, he'd be a serviceable replacement. The Colts moved him to guard, and it isn't his natural position, so he has struggled.

I hope they do focus on the D side, if the Colts had been above average on that side of the ball, they probably would have been more successful in the post season (slong with having any semblance of a running game).
