...that I recently opined that, in the event of coaching changes this year, Mike Singletary might be a good choice for DC when/if Bates becomes HC. Well, AP is reporting that Singletary, an asst. for the 49ers, is being considered for HC at Detroit. BIG jump, maybe too big, but he is being recognized as a talent.

Didn't Singletary use to be a Bear? That would certainly rule him out, plus, he's not proven.

There is absolutley no way I can see Singletary bcoming a Packer's coach. It's like the Pope converting to Islam.

agreed 'bout the bears comments, but grandpa is right, Singletary is very highly regarded from some rumors I've read.

I brought up Singletary as a HC months ago. Everyone scoffed at it, especially Packer fans when I mentioned good ole Mikey being the HC here lol
