Like I've been telling you, winner of the Packers - NYG game is going to the Super Bowl.

    Take aways from yesterday's games:

    1. SF and Giants defenses best in football right now
    2. Alex Smith has no clue how to play quarterback -- it's amazing how the press has bought into Harbaugh's BS about Smith -- they win despite Smith, not because of him -- SF will miss the playoffs next year and Smith will be gone
    3. Eli Manning can really take a hit -- and keep his cool
    4. Giants WR are stellar
    5. Brady is plainly hurt -- and NYG should be favored over NE -- but NYG are a small underdog, they'll score at least 21 on NE, if not much more, and physically pound Brady, and likely win, although Belichek has an awful strong revenge motive coming from NE not getting respect and NYG 2008 SB annihilation

I definately would have rooted for the Giants if it hadn't been for the recent disrespectful, obnoxious, un-called for rants by SOME of the Giants fans in this forum. It's a shame that a few *sshole fans tainted the team. smh Go Patriots!

I am, I don't want to see Brady hoisting another trophy. I think they got off easy with the spygate scandal. I hope the Giants break their hearts AGAIN! :devilish:

    1. The ravens defense is better than both defenses but they are 2 and 3 respectively.
    2. Alex Smith had a poor game after having a solid season. Give him credit for a good season.
    3. Eli Manning played "OK" at best in that game, sometimes the biggest hits and the hardest looking hits don't have any effect on the player being hit. Think hitting a baseball cleanly off the fat end. You can hit a monstrous homerun. Whereas, if you hit it on the handle it can break the bat or hurt your hands. Same in football with hits.
    4. Giants top 3 WR might be the best WR trio in football, I have been saying that for a while.
    5. The patriots have 2 weeks to get Brady AND Gronk healthy. New England is a better team that is why they are favored. Vegas is usually right, they pick a line so they get an even amount of money on both sides. They have been doing it for a long time and made a ton of money. I think the final score will be something like 35-24 Patriots win.

Would you be willing to make a bet on the super bowl? we can escrow....

I don't like either team...2007 I think the Giants seemed more humble and let there play do the talking. This year they talk a lot...it's just personal preference. I like the Patriots kind of teams that shutup and play.

Yes, I will be rooting for the Giants, but only because I hate the Patriots with a nuclear passion. The Giants have a really good chance at beating the Pats even though it may be a close game.

Perfect example is how this thread was started by a Giants fan.
Again, why the hell are they sticking around?
    We lost.
    We get it.
    Now leave.
    Please.

The answer from me is yes and i'll tell you why. First some things:

Lots of ppl were calling Rodgers out for choking against the Giants, well I didn't see any clutch QBs today and I sure as hell didn't see a QB out there better than Rodgers. Brady was SHUT DOWN by the Ravens and Eli was ok, but not great. But......here's why I'm rooting for the Giants:

    1. Those were two awesome games yesterday and in both cases the better team did not win. The Ravens outplayed the Patriots but blew it. The 9ers played better overall too but the difference is:

The Patriots didn't give the Ravens any credit. They just yacked on about themselves and how tough they were. And Brady takes one mean hit from Lewis and he's acting like a crybaby. Then after a crappy performance he sneaks it into the endzone, spikes it and acts like he's a tough guy. Meanwhile Manning was getting pummeled all afternoon and despite that he didn't whine like Brady. He took the hits and managed to play well enough to win. Eli wasn't that clutch but his performance was gutsy.

After the game, the Giants on the other hand knew that they had been in one helluva game and they gave the 9ers plenty of respect as they should have. Brady and the Patriots should have lost that game and the "classy" Patriots were the ones who strutted around talking about how resilient and how tough they were.

That is why I am going to root for the Giants.

I root for teams that win with skill. Not luck.
And that is how the Giants got to the SB.
They were lucky that the Packers did not have their heads in the game due to a tragedy from that week that effected the Packers.
The Giants did not outplay them. The Packers beat themselves.
The Giants were lucky they got those two turnovers on kick returns by the 49ers. Game might have gone the 49ers way if they had gotten the ball.
There is no, zero, nada, skill at all with the Giants.
Just plain dumb luck for a 9-7 team.
No other way to explain it.

I'd rather watch paint dry then this year's SB.
So I'll have to be sure to keep myself occupied.

Dude, whether the Giants beat us or we beat ourselves, we still lost. Give the team that won it's due. And the main reason why we lost is that our defense couldn't hold a candle to the defenses that played out there today. Even the Patriots defense stepped up and played great. Ours just sucked.

Football season is over, waiting for Spring Training. More interested in the Greek olive crop than this year's super bowl. Ironic that the Giants, a team that spent the entire year whining about officials, get to the game via bad officiating. How do the kids say it? Meh.

Hell yeah I am rooting for the Giants and I am an Indiana girl at heart so it's only natural.

I fully expect JPP/Osi and Tuck to knock the fluffy little hair cut off of Brady's lucky head.

I fully expect Eli to pull out a lucky *** TD at some point too.

Just like in 2007. The Pats are the home team and the Giants the away team.

I fully expect the revenge factor to be built up but it's not like it worked for the Packers either. And the Pats are built much like Green Bay but even GB has more receivers to stretch the field over NE.

I know the Pats wanted Alex Smith.
