After listening all week how #7 was so great the guy who should be QB'ng the Attica Admirals proved he chokes in big games> He Sucked if not for the Packer dropping 3 sure TD balls this game was a blow out!

The refs game them the SuperBowl in Detroit, he played the 28th defense in 08 and tonite he finally saw a real defense and what did he do - he choked!! Had Woodson and Shields nor gotten hurt I doubt they score at all!!

So next time I hear how great he is it better be #12 they are talking about.

Ben Roethlisberger to me is a GOOD quarterback.

I said good, i didn't say great, and not elite. He's just a good quarterback at that.

Stats is what I go by to judge quarterbacks, and if take the Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl, he also choked in that one, but as we know, they couldn't win with the refs years ago.

I feel the same way. ESPN is so media based, they should be ashamed of themselves. All last year during the Super Bowl it was "PEYTON MANNING IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!" and he ended up blowing the big game. This year was worse than the Manning talk, cause they made it out like Big Ben was the greatest thing since a slice of bread.

I have to disagree with you,I;m a big packer fan Big Bem did not choke,he played a good game.our d-line faltered after Woodson and Shields went out,Ben new he had a good chance after that he played well, what he did in the end he has done before, and that was his mistake the one we were waiting for,and it cost the game and what an out come it was.

Well, Aaron said he was thinking of the drive to win the Championship against the Cardinals, and the drive to beat us last year by a point when the Steelers took over with 2 minutes and down by 6. B.R. has been unbelievable in those situations. Our defense came up huge to stop him this year. Still, Roth has been scary in those situations.

Yes, good not great is about right. Overrated too. 19 TDs, 16 INTs in 13 playoff games, rating around 85. Just look at last night. He missed a wide open wallace for a TD (they did score a TD a little later), sailed passes early and often that should have been completions and he totally butchered that final drive.

Rodgers in 5 playoff games has 13 TDs, 3 ints and 3 more rushing TDs.

Ben is a good quarterback, but a good quarterback can be made to look bad by an excellent secondary, and our secondary is excellent (when wood is back there and not Bush). Ben does seem to struggle in big games, but he has that Steeler's D to bail his butt out.

Would I trade Rodgers for Roethlisberger? HELL NO!!!

Tory Aikman said if he could pick any QB in the league to play on on an expansion team. He's take Rodgers.

Well, of all the QBs in the league - If my team has 2 minutes left and needs to drive and win the Super Bowl, Big Ben would certainly not be the QB at the top of my list. :)

Again, you mean. He was never elite, he is a product of the system.

He's 10 and 3 in the playoffs. Don't discount winning as a reflection of QBs. I think Rogers is better, but I was scared as hell last night in the last 2 minutes.

Most of the comparisons I heard last week had Rodgers in a more favorable light than Roethlisberger, with the exception that AR didn't have a ring at the time. Now he does--why the bitterness? Why are you Packer fans acting like such sore, whiny winners? It's like you've never won a championship before--are you all too young to remember the last one?

Ben is a system QB in a system that is usually a great fit for him. He'll never put up numbers like the "elite" QBs in the league, but whenever he's out there and his team has a chance, he scares the hell out of me. I've never been impressed with his stats, but you can't take much away from his results for the most part. Look at the end of the AFCCG against the Ravens or the SB vs. Arizona where he came up with that completion to Holmes to seal the deal.

Last night, he did miss some opportunities. Take a look at his first pick, his arm was hit and the pass came up short. Having to play from behind made him take some chances. Usually the Steelers D is stout and he can afford to make some mistakes or take some chances.

Last night was a night of destiny for the Pack, and they made more plays on both sides of the ball. I know how it is as a fan to be on both sides, and it is far more enjoyable to bask in knowing the team you pull for hoisted the trophy after the clock read 00:00.

In his presser, Ben handled himself very well. Took the blame, didn't make excuses.

That said, there were a lot of happy fans here in the Baltimore area last night (and today for that matter) that we got to watch the belt presentation on the podium last night!

    10 and 4 now. :p

Wins are great, but wins are a product of the team. Stats show how much you contributed to that win. He plays good when it matters most and he always makes some big plays too, but he is not a great QB.

No, he's 10-3 now. He was 10-2 going in.

Oh, ****, my bad. The Steelers have had a lot of success with him that is for sure, that is not debatable.

This was brought up before: would you take a QB with great stats like Marino, or a QB with wins, like Starr? I'd take Starr any time, any situation with no reservation. Roethlisberger is a winner, just not last night. I like Rogers more, but don't discount a guy who has already won 2 Championships, whether it's because of the system or because of himself. It's both.

I strongly disagree. I think you could put 15 to 20 other guys currently playing in his spot and they would find around the same level of success. They might not be able to turn it up when it matters most, but I bet you a lot of them would be more consistent.

We are past the Stairway to Seven.
Have been for quite a few years now.
We are now on the stairway to 14!
    13 > 6
Therefore: Packers > All other teams in NFL including Stealers!
    Booya!

I don't think it was Rothlesburger that was doing the choking. Did you notice on like the very last three plays none of the receivers looked like they had a clue what to do? The fourth down play Ben was like pointing to 3 of them where to position themselves before the ball was even hiked.
