After this post I'm done arguing with you. You're a supermod on a football forum yet don't have the mental capacity to understand MOMENTUM! Or maybe it's a convenient vocabulary issue so that you don't have to face the fact that your boytoy QB 1 of the Packers...the guy your FRIEND TT drafted was a screwup and has always been and will always be a screwup! Seriously dude once you finish reading this post you'll be ignored, nothing more will be seen from you.

The start of 1991 to the end of 1996 is 6 years right? Even Einstein who sucked at math would agree with me on that.

The start of 2005 to the end of 2010 is 6 years right? What's so hard to understand it's the SAME time frame? If you want to go by number of starts? Fine...but I still couldn't give Aaron 6 full seasons as a starter Mr. Knowitall Super-smart Mod...Brett didn't even start ALL games as a Packer! And I DON'T know anything??????????? No...6 years is 6 years whether Aaron had 4 years to pick his nose on the bench or not 6 years is the end of this year whether you like it or not, and whether TT helped you out by going out and doing something in free agency or not. This is the doing of your boys that will make you eat your words not Brett's or mine. Ted and Aaron will screw you on this not me. Thank them as you eat your words.

For the ongoing Favre debate, all I have to say is this:

I am a Packer fan, first and foremost. I cheer for my team and my team only.

Favre was fun and frustrating. I rooted for him because he dawned the Green and Gold every Sunday, occasional Monday and Thursday nights.

No matter what team he is on, he is no longer a Packer, therefore he is the enemy. If anyone on the forum is a Packer fan then they cheer for the Pack. Maybe they cheer for Brett because he did do great things at Lambeau, but none the less everyone who says they are a Packer fan should root for the Packers.

If Rodgers or any one of the Packers left today, it would be no difference to me. Sure, I wouldn't dislike him as much as someone like AP, but he is not a Packer and I will not root for him.

That's my policy on Brett. Bottom line is that if you say you root for the Packers there should be no question - you aren't rooting for Favre or anyone else. Sorry if I piss anyone off with this post, all these Favre v. Rodgers and Favre v. Pack or who do I root for threads are starting to flood this forum 2 years after the fact.

New season. And I am pretty excited.

PS, GO TT for sticking with A-Rod, he is something special. The best is surely to come.

It's the number of superbowls won that count and not when they happen you just think that Aaron has to win this year because of your man-crush on Favre. If Aaron wins multiple superbowls for the Pack then I don't give half a flying **** what year they happen. That being said I like the Packer's chances this year. Aaron's got his whole career ahead of him and the pack have assemble a superb group of young players. They should dominate the North for the next decade with the vikings investing short term in Favre and the bears trading away the house for the up and coming int king, cutler. If Favre does come back he's dreaming if he thinks he's gonna have the same sucesss.

Finally you say that Rodgers killed the Pack's momentum in Arizona after the packers had won the coin toss but you don't admit that in 07 against the giants Favre did the same thing after the Pack had won the coin toss and had momentum. He turned the ball over just the same and it cost the Pack the game just the same. You have shown yourself to hold double standards.

Me hating Rodgers because he replaced Favre is the SMALLEST part of why I hate him! If it was just this reason I'd have backed off and given the guy a chance by now!

If Aaron had "finished" Reggie Bush wouldn't have had the opportunity to screw up college football the way he has...cause OU would've played Auburn for the National Championship in '04! And YES I've admitted to being an Auburn fan prior to this so don't jump down that on the next fire ball thrown at me by mods and regulars! This by itself is ENOUGH of a reason to hate Aaron by itself!

On top of this Aaron was SHOVED down our throats!

So I have 3 reasons to hate Aaron...him being a choke artist is 49%! TT being a clueless wonder of a GM when it comes to QB's is another 49% and Aaron replacing Brett is the final 2%.

    Haha so true.

What I am thankful for is that Rodgers didn't throw up a pop fly that was fair game to every DB on the Cards in that game. At least he lost the ball in a controversial strange way. If anything, it put a monster chip on his shoulder along with the rest of the team. They are friggen lethal this year, I think they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Now you're hating on Rodgers for something Reggie Bush did. Wow you're obviously determined to hate him.

honestly it just sounds like you're a favre fan but could give 2 s*'s about the team itself. in 96 they wouldn't have won had that team around him not been incredibly talented from starters to 3 stringers. so what will you say if rodgers leads them the sb multiple times?

for the record, a choke is someone who misses wide open passes consistently, makes poor decisions, and can't close a big game. not drilled in the face like in arizona. whatever the case may be, i do not understand how you can be jumping on the guys back going into his 3rd year as a starter. maybe i am a little behind here but i just do not see how the heck you can be so angry about all this. if favre was still on the team we'd be going backwards or staying right where we were 4 years ago - a team on the brink but not making enough noise.

Let me ask you and ONLY YOU one question. Would you rather have a quarterback that can go 99 yards against a nasty Oakland defense with a busted thumb in the final 2 minutes of a game? Or a quarterback who drops back to pass and either fumbles in a playoff game, or throws an INT in the final 2 minutes against a winless Tampa Bay team with a rookie QB?

That was a fumble. Nothing strangle or controversial about it. At least when Brett lost the Rams game he had the decency to do the ONE thing that lost them the game on 6 different occasions...instead of once...at the most in-opportune time possible! (That was a joke by the way!)

Oh, you mean that same team that kicked Farve to the curb and then brought in a ROOKIE to take his place and then went to the AFC championship game? J E T S Jets Jets Jets. So that means Sanchez is a lot better than Farve if you're gonna play that stupid game.

Isn't that the SAME THING? If MN wins that isn't good for the Packers, is it? Or is your insane hatred of a guy you never met - TT - causes you to want the Brett and MN to beat the Pack just to stick it to TT no matter what the consequences of this is to the GB? Your bitterness and venomous feelings toward TT are over the top, buddy. Most of us are ambivalent towards TT. We want him to succeed only because he is the Packers' GM. If the team falters this coming year we won't lose any sleep over his dismissal.

When did Rodgers have 4 seconds to sit in the pocket in the first half of last seaon before the return of Clifton and Tauscher?

    So should I lock this?

Seems that the Favre fans get hurt feelings when Brett is bashed.... But they can talk about beating Rodgers with a 2X4

And on Bretts official message board? Wow

Wonder if there is a disclaimer saying Brett doesnt support the posts of people there..But even if there was, one would have to think the mods would delete anything by members that have physical posts to Rodgers?

I know some will take real issue with me posting this...But I thought I would show some of the hatred that Favre fans have for
    Rodgers....

OOO then the owner posts this even tho his members are talking about hitting Rodgers with a 2X4?

LOL treated as well? Come on now Lets get Rodgers with a 2X4!!

Seriously, why do they hate Rodgers so much? It's not like he pushed Farve out of the organization. Last time I checked, Farve was the one who retired. These hamsters have drunk the cool-aid.

Has there ever been a cult following of a NFL player. We might be seeing it for the first time. And yes I'm talking about his time in GB as well. I bet is Brett asked them to send him money to help him protect his legacy, they would.

I said it from the start....

ANY q/b would been treated the same...

But you have seen how in the last 2 years it went from a 50/50 spilt to a 90/10 in favor of Rodgers and the Pack

I love that...People waited and saw what we had and agreed with Ted

Honestly, I don't even bother with OBF. It's kind of pointless. Any website that deletes any and every form of criticism of a guy just has no credibility to me.

What especially bothers me is how people expect Rodgers to have crammed 20 years worth of career accomplishments into two years as a starter. "Rodgers will never do this or that.." Blanket statements like that make them look like the ignorant assholes that they are. I mean, how can someone possibly know what he'll do over the life of his career?

I like to point out Peyton Manning, whom many would consider the best to play the game today. He absolutely sucked the first few years, then he finally took his team to the playoffs. Then he sucked in the playoffs before winning a game. Then he won a Super Bowl, becoming MVP. Now, with manning as their QB, it's virtually impossible to discount the Colts as Super Bowl contenders every single year.

My point is no one knows what Rodgers' career will be like 5, 10, 15 years from now. All we know is that, right now, he is very good. He already has one career accomplishment that no other NFL quarter back has ever done in the history of the league, which is to throw for two consecutive 4,000 yard seasons in his first two years in the league. Will that translate into Super Bowl rings and MVP's? Who knows. But right now he is very good, and that's all we have to hang our hat on.

Oh, and **** the Vikings. They can eat my ***. =)
