Hey the Niners are a good team, its not the Vikings fault that the Browns, Lions and Packers suck. BTW who is this rojers guy and Bretts numbers are better than Rodgers so far

yeah the older he gets the better he was. The Vikings have some winnable and some loseable games coming up so the Pack could get right back in this in a hurry! I think the bears are another team will be in the thick of things. I guess in a perfect world maybe all three teams getting in. It is possible. That would be cool to see us three battleing it out in the playoffs as a NFC North fan. I am a die hard Vikes fan but I am a realist and give the packers and Bears some props as tough foes in the Black and Blue division.

You mean like that scumb*g AROD who threw his O-Line under the bus when he played against the Patriots?

You mean like that A-Hole AROD who told the fans, "get on the bus, or stfu?"....

Yeah..you gotta a real winner there...in Mr. Selfish Golden Boy jerk*** from California.

Just wait til' he faces some adversity...His true colors will come out again.

You must be a close friend or family member to know he is wrong then eh?

You sound like a pissed of Brett fan that cant accept the fact other people are okay with Brett being gone..

Lets stop the damn 2 sided fighting cuz it goes both ways, and leads to no where

I think that anyone in their right mind would take Rogers over Favre.....at this point in time anyhow. Favre did exactly the same thing for the Vikings as he did for the Packers. He got them to the playoffs......and then choked like a rookie prostitute going down on John Holmes. When the Packers won that last Superbowl Favre had some good plays........but the reason why the Pack won is because of Desmond Howard. All the Viking fans are going to be let down in a big way this year.......if Favre comes back........they will be let down.........and if he doesn't........they will be left with T. Jackson. Good luck with that. It is always not just the QB that wins the game........its the team. Sometimes you just need a QB that won't make Bone head mistakes. That is exactly what Dilfer did for the Ravens a few years ago.

    Damn, another delusional one...

This thread has been closed for quite a while.

If you're going to demonstrate hate towards Rodgers and instigate hate amongst members, you'll either get the pink threatment, or the door threatment...

If you like Favre, so be it, but don't start hating.

Don't get me wrong your not completely wrong..(i dont mean to nit pick either) Desmond Howard and our special teams played their A-Game that whole year, but in that game..our pass defense caught two interceptions in the 4th quarter (four total).... two possessions out the window... our defense played really good... and bledsoe choked much like......um...f***e

You see? That's what I was trying to stop...

When someone bring in a personal, unsubstanced, undeserved, with clear second intentions, attack to a Packers player, it'll create turmoil.

    We've had this before.

So, you can knock on some Rodgers' flaws, or on some players, but to say that Rodgers is worse than Matt Flynn is just a way to troll...

Isn't it about time to move on from Favre? I hate the guy for the crap he pulled as much as the next guy, but to call yourself a Packer fan and yet still harbor all this hate for Rodgers, Thompson and McCarthy is beyond pathetic. Seriously folks, lets move on. Only time will tell whether Rodgers can live up to or surpass Favre's career.

I've been a member of the forum for a short time but I figured I should weigh in on this subject. All of this is my opinion, but I do try to interject facts to support it.

I loved Favre for a long time. I grew up with Favre leading the Pack. I was 11 when Green Bay got him. The first time he pulled the "I don't know if I am going to play next year" thing I understood. He lost his dad and I think his wife was dealing with her cancer that same year, I'm not sure. Yet to do it over and over again is garbage. I don't care if you're a premier player or a backup. The team is more important than one man, regardless of who that one man is. It's not very classy to play with your team's plans and offseason programs by saying you're not going to play and then come out a few months later and expect the red sea to part for you and all that. The bottom line is that Favre went from Green Bay Packer Hero and Legend status, to overpaid whiny diva status and it broke my heart. It made me sick to my stomach when all that drama was going on. It wasn't fair to the fans or the team.

Now as for who is better. I think that is a little like comparing apples to oranges. Sure Favre was electrifying and an Iron Man. He made things happen and pulled a lot of game out of nowhere to comeback and win. He holds nearly all quarterback records. He also cost us some games though. A lot of his gambling led to opponent points.

Rodgers is a younger player who still has a lot to learn about the game yet. But he has the skills. Anyone who doubts that yet still drafts him for fantasy football is a hypocrite. Besides his career passer rating is over 10 points higher than Favre's. Granted his career hasn't been as long, but he has answered his critics and then some I would say.

All in all I am not happy about how it went down, but I am pleased with the results. I'll take Aaron Rodgers over Favre any day. Not because I think he is a better player (which I do), but also because I think he is a better person and probably a better teammate.

That was a nice rant. Couldn't agree more!

What's funny is seeing so called "Packer fans" who used to post on this board posting in other places as Vikings fans. Sorry losers, but if you were any kind of true fan, you wouldn't have jumped ship!
