Do you think Aaron could go to an AFC team, learn a totally new system and terminology, and bring that 4-12 team to 9-7 like Favre did?

He can't even bring the Packers to past 6-10 when he's been in the same system for FOUR YEARS...

Do you know how foolish you guys sound? You sound like the only football you ever played was Madden in your mom's basement...

1 TD, ( shoulda had 2), 114 QB rating...just think how much better he'll be when he gets comfortable with his receivers..

It's going to be fun watching Favre kick your asses two times this year as you squirm, come up with excuses, and eat alot of ****, (hope it goes down well) in DEFEAT!

    hahaha...

What do the Jets have to do with the vikings?

But if you want to go there, then Brett cost the Jets playoff chances by still playing even though he knew he was hurt...You know he admitted that he didnt know where his passes would go when he threw them...So yeah he got them to 8-3, but he also was the biggest reason why they lost last 4 out of 5...Threw what was it? 2 tds and 9 int in 5 games?

Now DL lets be a little civil why bother tossing in child insults??

I am serious, stop it or I will start to take them out when you post them

Honestly, Yes. He has the skills to do that and since he is a smarter football player than Favre was and wouldn't have kept the Jets out of the playoffs with his selfishness simply to keep his Iron Man record going. Ask the JETS' players what they think of Favre after he rode in on his INT record to save them.

The Offense of the GBP was the 5th Ranked Offense in Total Points and points per game for the 2008 season. The offense under Rogers was just fine. Better than fine, GREAT! You have some nerve to put the 6-10 record on Rogers' shoulders. You have no credibility after a statement like that with any knowledgeable football fan.

Rodgers is "a smarter football player than Favre"...??

Wow, you really are deluded. Favre 14-3, Rodgers 6-10..need i say more?

Rodgers lost more than 2 games for the Packer last year too, more like 4 or 5, at least....probably more.

You seem to want to blame it all on Favre, but nothing on Rodgers....

No, you're not too much of a homer, i guess
    :rolleyes

"The Wonderlic Personnel Test is a twelve-minute, fifty-question test used to assess the aptitude of prospective employees for learning and problem-solving in a wide range of occupations. The score is calculated as the number of correct answers given in the allotted time. A score of 20 is intended to indicate average intelligence"

Brett Favre: 22 (average score of Bank Tellers)
Aaron Rogers: 35 (Higher than the average scores for Chemists)

In this particular example, Aaron Rogers is smarter than Brett Favre.

    Awesome.

Would you like to discuss what Aaron did against the Cardinals this past week? Or what he's been doing this whole preseason? His numbers against Arizona (who has a much better defense than Houston) make Favre's numbers against Houston look laughable. Also, Rodgers doesn't have the best running back in the league behind him to provide the defense with a distraction.

Yeah, he asked a backup QB what it was, and when he found out what it was he said "That's it, so what!?"

Big deal. So he did better on a "test".

There's a difference in being book smart, and football smart.

Instincts, experience, and talent play a crucial role on the football field, not in a stupid classroom.

Rogers held on to the ball too long, didn't read defenses well, and is not good when the play breaks down.

I guess that explains why Mr. Wonderlic was 6-10 last year..

I wonder what excuses you guys are going to trot out this year....should be interesting. And big deal about the Nickel defense. So what? What does that prove?

    Not a thing....

And LT..if you want to blame that whole Giant game on that last interception, you can. But obviously you didn't see how Ted Thompson's team underperformed the WHOLE game...

But yeah...go ahead and foolishly blame one player if you like.

I personally dont care about smarts..As long as the guy can play he could be dumb as a rock..

As far as holding onto ball to long that is what I saw Brett do Monday night at least on 2 sacks..That to me is not the Brett I knew and loved..He looked a tad slower than normal...Maybe it will get better, the legs will come around, but I think that his age is really starting to show and I just HOPE he can perform at the level we are used to seeing

My point for the Giants game is that there are many things that cost them the game..That is why its called a TEAM game

Harris getting raped by Plax, the o-line blocking like crap, the d-line not being able to stop anything..and brett throwing that int..

Now at the time and even now I never FULLY blamed the entire loss on Brett....

But when people such as your self point out that Rodgers cost the Packers 8 losses last year that just stinks of you being a Favre fan.... You can't/wont accept the fact that Brett has done same things (Giants game), but you refuse to put that blame on him

    DOUBLE STANDARDS

so if you want to put the losses last year only on Rodgers have at it! But at same point then put Giants loss on Brett..They both threw ints on the last Packer possession and it led to the opposing team to win

I have to remind you he actually threw 2 ints in that game..The "famous one"

and the one that was int at the Giants 8 yard line but Ryan Grant was able to make Mcquarters fumble it back

Maybe..but Ruvell Martin dropped a sure TD pass that hit him in the breadbasket...

Greg Jennings didn't do much that game either...

theres no doubting that, but when a defense gives up on a QB that can pass 4000+ yards it becomes the QBs fault and the QBs record?
oh and that 4000+ yard QB is Rodgers.

Maybe he realizes that Mr. 31-33 has ef'd the Packers beyond all recognition, and he's rooting for the one guy who had any loyalty to the team and could bring them a championship, and not a backstabbing, traitorous, homosexual...eh?

    Ever think of that?

First off, you have no idea if he is a homosexual. Second, what would it matter if he was?

Is it possible for you to state your opinion without resorting to name calling/gay bashing?

    Screw Favre

I used to be a big Favre fan. I was fine with him playing football for anyone but the Vikings. Why? Because his intention in going to the Vikings wasn't because he still wanted to play. If he still wanted to play, he could have gone to Tampa or stayed with the Jets. No, he went to the Vikings for the sole purpose of flipping the bird to the Packers and their fans. And none of you Favre kool aid drinkers are going to be able to convince me otherwise.

With that said, I'll be getting my new official Favre jersey this weekend:

    name calling. check.
disrespectful to a man he doest know personally. check.
claiming a record as the true worth of said person instead of looking at all possible other reasons. check.
conclusion: argumentation is no longer valid. subjects opinion is thus rendered worthless.
