Favre re-worked his contract on a few occasions to a more "team friendly" structure. He never took less than market value to be in Green Bay.

Thompson better do absolutely ANYTHING to keep Rodgers in Green Bay. The guy is more important to this team than Peyton Manning was to Indy, and look how they nosedived when he wasn't playing for them. If you analyze what the Packers would have without Rodgers, it's pretty lame.

That's true. I could be wrong...and if I am, I'm sure someone will jump on it like fresh meat in shark tank but,.... as part of Favre's 'restructure' the Pack ended up carrying some dead money, didn't they?

Alot of times those reworks are player friendly too as the money comes up front.
