in the same heartbreaking article that said Ahmad Carroll will start at #2 cornerback, it said Robert Thomas(recently acquired from the rams) will start at weak side linebacker over Roy Manning.

I like this decision. A lot of people wanted to see the young man get his shot, and he will probably get some playing. However, I want someone on the field for the first game of the season who has some NFL experience.

    But..ahmad carroll? wahahhhhhh wahhhhhhhh....

I would like to see a link to Ahmad starting, but I do like the fact that Thomas gets the nod, because Manning will be starting on strong side soon.

If true, I hate the Carroll over J. Thomas decision, and I agree that R. Thomas over Manning appears to make sense. The Lions are going to be running Kevin Jones to that side early and often, so it's better to have an LB with previous experience over there.
