I think this is more indicative of the "arrogance" that some people in that other thread are accusing Rodgers of having. Also I think he's getting a little cocky because of the insane success he has had coming back from such a devastating injury.

The difference between arrogance/cockiness and confidence/self-assurance: performance

I saw it more as a: "I need to be on the field as much as I can because I don't trust my teammates to do their job. And I think I can do better."

Keep in mind I generally dislike AP on a personal level too so that is probably coloring how the story read in my eyes.

Some arrogant players are good.

Arrogance/Cockiness: I'm better than you - I'm amazing!
Confidence/Self-Assurance: I can do it.

I hope he gets many chances this weekend to return kicks. Except for one, every kick return he lines up for is preceded by a Packer score the play before.
