Is it necessary for the refs to give every call to Dallas and be blatantly bias towards them?

Trom - I'd actually give the game ball to Barnett. Favre didn't have one of his better days. Twice, he failed to see the Safety come over and pick off the ball. Those were bad reads by Favre.

Yes, Favre made some DUMB moves today, but on the day he broke the all time yardage record, not giving him the game ball would be sinister.

    Re: Packer Rams game thread

STL and Dallas both play earlier (TH and Sat) so you have a shot at it.
I owuld think the other game would be a late game w/ either SF or AZ but who would care about those teams?

sinister indeed. Need to realize that in our lives as packer fans today is the only day you'll witness your QB breaking a record like this. Soak it up and realize what he's done.

trom. I think if you're gonna give the 44 yard TD to Jennings as the play of the game. give credit where credit is due... that one is on the Rams' D.

Didn't you watch the game bozz?

Jennings gave both the defenders hovering over him his vicious glare, causing them to both burst into tears.

After that, it was just running straight and catching Favre's pass.

Now you may be wondering why Greg doesn't use the stare more often. It's simple really, it's the holiday season and Gregorious isn't the type to make grown men go home to their families weeping.

Favre couldn't throw a deep ball to save his life today, but he STILL had a very good game. Just throw it short, hit 'em in stride, and let 'em run. It worked time and time again.

The defense played soft today, which worries me a little going into the playoffs. The injuries at DT may be catching up to them. But other than that, it was a solid effort all around, including the special teams, which were fantastic today.

what was with the offensive line today? they looked pretty bad.

besides that, good win, showing we can get it done (and win BIG) without playing our best.

    and of course, CONGRATS BRETT!

At the end of the game, I was wondering if we now rest our some of our starters to help them get healthy.

Probably not, since we've got division rivals next two weeks, and finishing the season with four wins would give us good momentum going into the playoffs.

    Consider this:
    1st downs STL 21 GB 16
    Rushing STL 173 GB 52
    Passing STL 191 (20/39) GB 227 (19/30)
    Total yards 364 GB 279
    Turnovers STL 3 GB 2
Time of possession STL 36:24 GB 23:36
And yet the only stat that matters: STL 14 GB 33

That was what i was thinking.............we did NOT play that great of a game, yet STILL buried them. We left a ton of points out on the field.
This was a good time to have a game like this..........get it out of the way before the playoffs.

2nd best part of the game (after the Favre- Jennings TD) was after the game when Fox was recapping the early games.
Jimmy J was muttering on about Seattle losing today becasue they did not run the ball enuf. (7 for Alexander and 4 for Morris.)
Howie looked at him and said, "What are you talking about? At halftime YOU said they needed to pass more."
Everyone except JJ burt out laughing.
I almost choked I was laughing so hard.

In my oppinion they don't look good... period. Nothing new really. They have gotten better at runblocking but with that, passblocking went down a few notches. With that said - runblocking was sorta lacking in this game aswell.

Overall, a pretty good game. Excellent plays by special teams. Very consistent and in my oppinion they deserved the gameball or perhaps the consistency award. What do you think Trom? ;)

Nice hits by Aaron Rouse - very fun to watch. Receivers doing their thing as we are used to by now (love those guys... all of them... in a non-man-loving way). Grant did OK with what he had to work with. Still a bit of unclarified positioning at the Nickel spot as I see it. Brett did good... but those two picks were just like the Dallas game allover again. Bad bad bad decisionmaking.

Johnson didn't say that Seattle didn't run the ball enough. He said that they didn't run it well, and they need to do that if they're going to succeed.
