I know this will probably be moved, but I wanted as many people as possible to see it before it went to other forums. I don't know how many of you saw the flying tackle at ford field sunday, but it wasn't on the field. A guy was chased down and tackled after a 10 minute chase for holding up a FIRE MILLEN sign. similar signs were confiscated throughout the game, and people wearing fire millen t shirts were told to either cover up the shirts, or be escorted out by security. I ask this favor of anyone going to sundays game, not as a fan of a rival team, but as a person who loves football. A person who roots for his team no matter what and thinks they deserve the best chance from coaches, ceo's, and owners too not be made the laughing stock of a great tradition. Will one of you packer fans going to the game please make a decent sized sign saying FIRE MILLEN? If need be, put "favor for a lions fan" on it somewhere so you are not ridiculed by other packer fans. I think embarrassment in front of a national audience may be the only way to get the fords to listen. I think after visiting other team forums, that packer fans are true football fans, and most are also fair with their perception of games and other teams. I also spend almost as much time here as I do on the lions forum because usually threads are well thought out and people are treated with respect. As a friend of this forum, and as a true fan of football, I ask for your help.

    thanks,
    Brian ( big 3 )

I sympathize, but I hope they keep Millen. One less team to worry about in the conference.

a noble effort big3..but i think pretty much everybody feels the same way as vikefan.

a sign that would be just as effective if not more (coming from a rival fan) would be "Don't Fire Millen!!!"

Yes, please! Even sarcasm will work. Anything to show what a joke the lions are with Millen in charge.

I heard about the whole thing and it is pretty sad if they believe that Gestapo tactics against their own fans will turn things around for them.
I agree with the sarcastic approach of a "Keep Millen" sign. Then again Ford may believe that it is supportive because he seems pretty clueless at this point. I thought that the Bears had the worst ownership in the division until this happened.

I'm with you big3. I liked Mooch and thought he got a raw deal from San Fran. If I were going to the game, I would do what you asked, but I am going to be watching the game from our local watering hole.

Thanks carol, I appreciate the thought. I just keep telling myself if the red sox can break the curse, so can we.

I think it was a case of the GM trying to take the heat off himself by firing Mooch. Millen deserves the axe.........but the Ford's won't want to pay anyone else, so i think you are stuck with him!
