Patriots are the only perfect team to lose the championship.

Giants are the first team to win ALL 4 playoff games on the road.

Though one is a rather dubious distinction, they are both memorable and may one day make a good Trivia question.

    Any more firsts?

Didn't the Steelers win all their games on the road 2 years ago?

And, even though the Pats were probably considered the "home team," can the super bowl really be considered a road game?

Lowest scoring game of the year for the Pats, I think.

Two Chicago Bears teams in the pre-Super Bowl era also went undefeated in the regular season only to lose in the championship game.

Tells me what I DON'T know!

Are there any other teams that match these records?

Another thought that occurred to me... WHO thinks the Patriots are the greatest team ever now?

I don't now and never did . . really. They came close to getting beat by the Eagles, Ravens, Giants, and I think I'm forgetting one more. To me they seemed more then beatable but just go kind of lucky. Although, I'm sure that if I was a fan I wouldn't have called it luck.

However, I don't think it can be denied that they were definitely pretty darn good. But they had to lose at some point . . . at least that's what I thought from the games I watched.

The Giants are the first team to win a super bowl with only 1 pro bowler.

    I didn't.
I kept saying, winning all those games..........the odds were piling up against them.
To go 18-0 and lose the biggest game of the year........the cheaters lost, and that feels like justice was served!

The Pats/Giants are the first teams to cost Las Vegas $300,000,000.

    I love that.

Really? $300,000,000? Holy cow, I had no idea it cost them that much!
I guess they will be raising the table limits for a while...

Wow! I wish I had gone to Vegas instead of keeping my bet small and local. I knew the Giants would beat the spread, and gave them a bigger than 50% chance of winning it outright.

Didn't cost Vegas. They just push off the bets on others and take the juice. They just care how much is bet. Not on who wins or loses.
