This game is interesting if only for the fact that JP Losman is finally having his outing party (this season) - and that's over a pretty QB in Kelly Holcomb. Holcomb was way better than the Couch-trip. Here's the read for today -----

Carolina Panthers (7-3) at Buffalo Bills (4-6)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Fox

Surface: AstroPlay. Sheridan's line: Panthers by 3½.

Keys to the game: Strength against strength, weakness against weakness. The Panthers' one-dimensional offense led by WR Steve Smith goes up against the league's No. 6 pass defense. Of course, the Bills' pass defense ranking is boosted by they fact they can't stop the run. The issue is whether the Panthers offense, which averages a league-low 3 yards a carry, can do anything against a defense allowing 149.7 yards rushing a game. Expect Carolina to stick with whoever gets rolling, RB Stephen Davis or RB DeShaun Foster. The Bills will go with QB J.P. Losman, possibly because his mobility gives him an edge on Kelly Holcomb against the Panthers' strong pass rush.

Fast facts: Panthers: QB Jake Delhomme averages an NFL-high 8.14 yards a pass attempt. Bills: Have scored on the opening drive in four of Losman's five career starts.

TV announcers: Sam Rosen, Bill Maas, Jay Glazer.

Injuries: Panthers: Doubtful: LB Dan Morgan (ankle). Questionable: S Idrees Bashir (thigh), DT Brentson Buckner (knee), S Thomas Davis (thigh), RB DeShaun Foster (knee), TE Kris Mangum (knee). Bills: Questionable: DT Sam Adams (ankle), TE Mark Campbell (hamstring), CB Terrence McGee (hamstring). Probable: QB Kelly Holcomb (head), T Greg Jerman (ankle).

The Panthers lose this one - if only for the fact that Bill Maas is calling the game. LOL 8)
