The Packers scored on two big plays, a 62-yard catch by tight end Jermichael Finley and a 42-yard fumble return by linebacker Clay Matthews, but Green Bay trails Minnesota 21-14 at halftime on Monday night at the Metrodome.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Packers down to Minnesota's 24 on the opening drive by completing 5-of-6 passes for 62 yards, but Rodgers was sacked by defensive ends Brian Robison and Jared Allen and fumbled, which was recovered by linebacker Chad Greenway at the Minnesota 33.

The Vikings then went on a 12-play, 67-yard drive that was highlighted by a 16-yard slant pass from quarterback Brett Favre to wide receiver Bernard Berrian. Linebacker Brandon Chillar was flagged for taunting after making a tackle of running back Adrian Peterson, which put the ball inside the Green Bay 20. Favre found tight end Visanthe Shiancoe for a 1-yard touchdown pass to put the Vikings up 7-0.
