I agree with your evaluation of the team as a whole. But I think this year falling off our perch atop the NFC north would not come from lack of running game, I think if it does happen it will fall on the inexperience of our newly talent infused defense. A lot of people including myself are high on the changes we made on the defensive side of the ball. But every single one of those guys has yet to prove anything about what they are capable of in the 2012 season.

Great point about the new/unproven talent defensively... Hopefully with training camp/preseason/2 weeks regular season, they'll start to gel and get better as the season progresses

2nd is possible the Lions really have the making of strong team last year. I don't think its likely. Otherwise he spot on.
