    This does sound like a really neat idea.

    Problem is just organizing it, and then having a mod run this thing to ensure it actually gets done (cough*GM-thing-couple-years-back*cough*) in its entirety. I'll post a thread on this in the mods section *feels important*

    I would like to see this get done. If there is any assistance needed, I have no problem lending a hand. Organizationally, you could first start by just running blind polls for all the categories. That would generate your results. Run them for a week and head for the Tromadz Lounge.

    The Tromdaz Lounge is reserved for drunken spaz fests. So, the awards must be on a Saturday not a work day.

    I think you have to nominate the possible award winners (Just Like The Academy Awards Does.) before the actual award show in the Tromdaz Lounge.

    I say we actually announce the awards in the Tromdaz Lounge. Just like the draft, the next award can be on the clock.... That way we all can bash the nominee's before Ryan opens the envelope and announces the winner.

    The entries for categories posted above are great.... Here are my ideas for categories.

    Instead of making it about members... make the awards about the POST.
    After all that is what this forum is about POSTS or THREADS.

    Packer Forum Rookie Post The Year.

    Most Original Post Of The Year.

    Best Response To A Post Award.

    Best Locked Thread Of The Year.

    Most Inspirational Post of the year.

    Most Confusing Post Of The year.

    Silliest Post Of The Year.

    Most Respected Non Packer Fan Troll Post Of The Year.

    Funniest Post Of The Year.

    Most Prolific (Came True) Post Of The Year.

    I agree with the nomination portion, you could just post nomination threads as well.

    I do think you need a combination of posts/posters however. I love the came true post, but that's alot of rumor sifting to be done.

    Thats what i was thinking.......i have enough trouble remembering day to day whats posted..........to try to find old ones (i don't even remember ones i myself posted last week) would be more then impossible for me.

    It's not too hard.

    First: Have a thread to compile X amount of awards. (done)

    Second: PF.com staff chooses/selects X amount of worthy awards.

    Third: Post a thread for nominees for each award. This obviously would take up quite a few threads depending on the PF.com staff selection of awards. Perhaps create a sub forum of the atrium to keep it organized.

    Fourth: Post a thread of each award collecting nominees to X amount.

    Finally: Create a poll for each award with each of the X amount of nominees as options and set it whatever desired time frame.

    This can all be done via the forums with ease.

    Yup, tripp suggested the same thing.

    The only thing is though that 10 nominees might be too much, I was thinking more like 4-5.

    Have few categories based around posters and not posts (at least not this time) like bozz said.

    There still a few minor things to work out (like deadline for the polls, etc.) but that is really nothing major.

    Winner would get special user title and/or sig to display.

    Geez what a hiccup on the site there. I didn't read any posts after yours AADP so if I repeated someone, my apologizes. I tried editing my post like eight times, but the site kept lagging out. For some reason this site lags and hates me.

    Yup that is what I was thinking too, but the only thing is that we'd have to define specific categories beforehand so members would be able to nominate posts.

    Categories like "best post of the year" and "funniest post of the year" would be given, but some more would be needed.
