There are 2 types of Packer fans who post on Packer forums.

a.) Packer fans with limited football knowledge who restrict their posts to surpressing reality and the obvious facts and force their close minded false beliefs and desired hope of Packer success on the forum readers. They will also bestow their hisses and boos with reckless abandon on the knowledgeable football fans.

b.) Packer fans who are knowledgeable and understand the game of football. They have no problem to openly discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Packer team and do not rely on false beliefs and hopes. Their posts are based on reality and facts.

The latter group comprises of only a small percentage of the whole. It is estimated that only 2 percent of the posters on Packer forums are knowledgeable Packer fans. This estimate may or may not be 100 percent accurate but I am inclined to believe that it is not in error by more than one percentage point at most.

Take your posts to the smack area.

BTW, I am sure that you are happy to be a part of that vast majority... 98%.

Besides criticisms, at this point and from reading back on your posts - I haven't seen alll that much information being supplied by you - you harp alot about others - but you don't exactly "lead by example".... Which is probably WHY - no one here is giving you any true credibility - it's like posting retorts to articles which don't contain relative material....!

What say you "prove" you know how to demonstrate that which you pretend to be a part of (the 2%-?)... while we watch you prove you're no better than the rest - at least at this point....

How do you do that? Well, let's see - BRUCE would be a good example of good, no change that.... a great example of posting football fact and discussion. I'll admit even I could upgrade my commentary somewhat - BRUCE is great at leading by example.... Steel has yet to demonstrate that ability! But, we'll see!

Sadly, I think this litte bitchfest will be ongoing. What we have here is someone who likes to instigate and inflame, and then turns around and attacks others who respond as the instigators and inflamers.

I would hope everyone involved will take their "I know you are but what am I" crap to another place and let the adults talk about the Packers.

If Packers fans want to fight with other Packers fans let's at least do it in the smack area. Doesn't make sense to me.

Reality apparently means the team is going to not make the playoffs this year.

I'm among the group that uses logic, facts and hope to see the Packers are clearly capable of 10-6 this year.

If you deeply want to diss the Packers, you've done so, so please do us all a favor and just not repeat this post again. You're wrong, and in January you will see it.

As with many fans- I understand the logic behind many of you saying we are going to struggle this year. But as a fan I always have hope and optimism that it will be a good year. And if I didn't why would I want to come back as a Packer fan year after year after year. With the logic of the original poster the 70's and 80's would have found the stadium virtually empty instead of sold out like it has been for decades.

Short, succinct and to the point -----
He's right ya know - expect the worst, then you'll always be gladly surprised and highly elated with their success(es) in each and every contest. Good point Slickvision... very very good point.

    GO Packers!

Exactly, this team always will give you thrills and ups along with the downs every season. I mean, even look at the dreaded Packers of the 80's with guys like Randy Wright leading the show! Seemed like they won a handful of games is all but one thing was for certain - they'd almost ALWAYS find a way to beat the Vikes at least once! That used to keep me going - now we're spoiled!

    GO PACK GO!!!

There is also a small percentage of posters who pretend to be Packers fans, posting drivel on Packer forums with the sole purpose of putting down the Packers and their fans by hiding behind a false identity. Though the percentage of these posters is small, it's a given that their IQ is far less than any Packer fan who is honest about the team he or she roots for. These type of posters have an IQ similar to that of a turnip.

I always try to look at the glass as half full rather than half empty, and I do that with the Pack. There is always the saying, "Think positively.". I will back the Pack whether they are winning or losing. Granted, I may not be as knowledgable as many on this board are, but I am not unknowledgable--is there such a word--either.

And I thought YOU were a nice guy... Why would you insult a turnip by comparing it to Chase/steas wheels??

Rusted Rims: you start from the assumption that you are some unbiased and fair arbitor of Packers performance.

    Bullfeathers.

I swear the Packers could win the Super Bowl 72-0 and you would say that they should have won 73-0.

Either yer wit'us or agin' us.....and I think I have a pretty good idea in your case.

P.S. By the way, I called for Sherman's firing his first season. Then I discovered the Packers were a pretty good team, all things considered. Try it sometime, you'll like it.

If Steel Wheels is really 'Chase' then I can safely say that he gets off on inciting controversy in a area where no one can physically confront him.

And as far as the fans that rarely use facts to back up their claims.... Chase is excellent about that.

Just stay away from the board that I moderate Rusty Rectangle.... you wouldn't last a week there before you were sent elsewhere anyways.

And now, Steels Wheels is banned. Good! That guy knows about as much about the Packers as my kitten, and all she cares about is pissing off people.

I for one have always told you exactly how I feel about the Packers. I hate them! I respect them more than any team in the league other than my beloved Bears but I hate them. Sorry but it is in my DNA and I know that you are fully aware of this feeling yourselves as Bears haters. I come here to talk football because there are some very knowledgeable fans here. Not to flame, not to gloat and not to stir up a fight. Just to talk a little s**t about the game we love. Gotta go...I'm getting all misty

84 % of all the worlds statistics are made up right there on the spot. 65.7% of people believe them, whether they are accurate statistics or not!
