The colts look like they will fail if Painter becomes their QB, I hate to say it but its one thing we haven't had to worry about in Packerland, our back ups have been super bowl contenders. I am glad that our defense ONLY allowed 24 points. As much as fantasy football people who have picked A. Rodgers and his many recievers would love for more games of offense dominating like they did like this and Arizona's shoot out, I hope our defense doesn't screw it for us. We had that problem in 08, our offense was great at coming back, the only problem our defense didn't keep it for us.

Also what is the explanation for Manning to be playing in the 3rd quarter? A. Rodgers didn't, and isn't Manning the "Most" valuable player?

Our CB's still worry me. Big time.
To me, Tramon is not even close to starting-CB quality.

I was there. And it was glorious. And now my voice is gone. Turns out you cheer A LOT when your team scores 8 TD's. Go figure.

I know we've done this whole "beat the **** out of a defending conference champ in the preseason" thing before (see: Arizona), but that doesn't make this less fun. I just have to keep reminding myself that it counts for nothing.

Where did Frank Zombo come from and who do we cut to make room for him? That dude made the team tonight.

I'm not as worried about Burnett anymore. He showed up tonight.

AJ Hawk was nowhere to be seen with the #1 D and he was out there with the #2 D. Statement? Or are they really benching him? Put Zombo in there. Dude was beasting tonight.

Who was that punt return guy? I want him out there against KC returning kicks with the #1 return unit. That dude was FAST.

There will be no stopping this offense this year. It is a thing of beauty. Aaron is gearing up to take a leap this year to NFL MVP contender. And Finley simply can't be covered by anybody except maybe a #1 corner. This might be the best offense I've ever seen in Green Bay. Even better than the Favre led mid-90's attack.

Things started out bad for the D, but they settled in and looked sharp against the best QB in the NFL (for now). And out #2 D shutting down Manning and the Colts' #1 offense was awesomely unexpected. Not only that, but they forced a turnover!

I am absolutely ready for the regular season. Bring on Philly, I feel pretty ready.

The PR was Jason Chery, #13. He was also a gunner at punts, and did VERY well. he reminded me of Desmond Howard in 96, making the team on the last game, and having a HUGE impact.

Glad you had a blast. And no rush with the signature ;) (just a reminder)

Been a long time since I've see the 96 team play, but right now I do feel like this team is better than the 96 SB team. Just a gut feeling. They seem to be peaking. But, remember last year, they destroyed teams in pre-season but struggled bad in the regular season. So lets get some regular season games under our belts to really judge.

Offensively, absolutely. But, defensively, that team was the best D in football. AND the best ST in football.

I'm glad TW went up against a guy like Wayne. This is the perfect situation for a young DB to get experience against a premire WR like this in a game that doesn't mean anything. It should bode him well down the line.

The 1996 defense was the #1 defense in the NFL, with Reggie White, and 3 other good veteran DL, plus the solid DBackfield.
    Of course Desmond Howard too.

This defense has the personnel to be great I think, but they need to solidify the 2nd OLB spot and the #2/3 CB spot. Plus you have to expect there will be some injuries there.

The great teams of today can wing the ball around. Minny, Saints, Patriots, Colts.... that's our weakness. It has to tighten up.

Desmond Howard was about to be cut in 96. We had too much depth at the position. The only way he could make the squad was through ST play. He wasn't supposed to make the roster, till in the final preseason game, he returned a punt for TD. He made the roster.

Jason Chery is about to be cut in '10. We have too much depth at the position. The only way he can make the squad is through ST play. He isn't supposed to make the roster, till in the 3rd preseason game, he returned a punt for TD. Maybe he'll make the roster.
