New Functionality Liking Threads

    You will now notice when you mouse over a post you will see a "Like" link. This basically works the same way Facebook does, but it is all self contained within this site.

    The main idea is to get the popular content categorized as such so members can easily get to what is popular.

    You can post any comments/questions here. But start LIKING some threads people! :)

    Rob, this is all great stuff. Maybe in the forum with the rules, guidelines, and instructions you could make two separate threads: one describing the basics of the forum and one describing the advanced features. That way things aren't too overwhelming for the newbies.

    Correct, this functionality will replace the thumbs up feature.

    And yes, you will get notifications if someone likes your posts. Just like the notification you got from me liking this post you just made. :)

    Just a heads up, I imported previous data from reputation entries and helpful post entries. So if you see 100+ notifications in your inbox, that is why. :)

    I thought the same thing! I thought I had a stalker or something!!!

    Thanks Rob for this awesome new feature!!! I like how we are able to like comments as well as the original thread itself. You can also see who else liked it! Before you had to check your notifications. I like this much better! :)
