Speaking of the Brewers, I used to root for their double a affiliate(El Paso Diablos), when I lived there in the late 80s. The Diablos were affiliated with the Brewers from 1981-1999. I attended games at old Dudley field, and Cohen Stadium, which opened in 1990. In 2005, the Diablos were sold to the St Louis Cardinals, and moved to Springfield, MO; and are now the Springfield Cardinals.
I was conflicted this last weekend. My mother-in-law is a big Cardinals fan, and she was given a bunch of tickets to the game last Saturday against the Brewers, and my wife and I went with. As a Cubs fan, do you root for the Brewers or the Cardinals? I ended up rooting for the Brewers a little, but just because the Cardinals (at that point) were ahead of the Cubs in the standings. I spent much of the game looking at the NL scoreboard on the left field wall, 'watching' the Cubs beat the Diamondbacks.
3-4... How bout them Brewers eh. Braun is heating up.. now if Fielder gets it going.. it will spell trouble for the Central..
