My realistic breakdown? Did you not read the article? Did you not pay attention?

What would be so bad about having Brady as the backup? I bet he could fill in great after Brett retires in two years :)

OK, first off, Brett is done after this season. I'll bet the farm on it.

    Second:
This is ridiculous. I'll bet the farm against this prediction also.
Not going to happen. Bulger vs. Favre.
    Bulger: A pro-bowl QB
Favre: Coming off of a career high 29 interceptions, with no new help or indication that he won't repeat last year's horrible performance.
Don't make me laugh. Again, it's a question of quarterbacking and offense. Green Bay has neither. Not only will this game not be close, but it ultimately will be won by New England.
    Brady: He's Tom Brady
Favre: Coming off of a career high 29 interceptions, with no new help or indication that he won't repeat last year's horrible performance.
Now do you want to make a friendly wager on the Pack going 7-1 at home? I'm more than willing to bet your signature box that they won't even sniff anything close to 7-1 at home. I don't care if they play inside of a cheese factory, 7-1 is delusional.

I'm not the one who wrote the article smartguy.

You don't have a farm to bet. The evidence I have to prove that is how lazy you are. If you would have put more effort into reading the entire post you'd see the article is from JSOnline.com. The fact that the content is in a quote box should have been the first tell that I did not write it.

Oh, Brett is playing this year and the following. He's going to announce after this year that his next year will be his final year so he can go out the proper way.

"Betting the farm" is a strictly proverbial term, smartguy.

You're really setting yourself up for disappointment by both believing that Favre will be worthy of a starting spot this year and that he'll return next year to be an effective QB.
The sports media is going to come down hard on Favre and the Pack this year. Welcome to the Packers' darkest hour.

If its a dark hour, so be it. It's better than having the Bears dark franchise ;)

Hey, I'm by no means a spammer or troll. If I lived in Green Bay and were a genuine Packers fan, my posts would pretty much look the same.
Besides, I'm keeping this confined to the Smack Area.
I realize that the Packers forum shouldn't be cluttered with all this negativity. As bad as the Packers were/are, I respect you guys as football fans and will leave the regular posters alone outside of Smack. I realize that you guys are probably trying to collectively have a productive conversation about your team (no negative connotation implied).

You have to agree somewhat that I make some fine points about Favre and your offense, including the future of the QB position.

Ok, I normally stay away from these guys who come on other teams forums to talk useless smack but this one is nothing more than spin.

First off you call Bulger a Pro Bowl QB? When, 2004? If the credentials you are using are previous Pro Bowls wouldn't Brett be a "PRO BOWL QB" as well?.................Spin, Spin,Spin

Do you think you "betting the farm" actually means something? Is this supposed to mean that since YOU would bet the 1.42 cents in your pocket that we should consider your EXPERT prediction to come true. The same EXPERT that called Bulger a pro bowl QB? ....... Meaningless prediction

On to NE where you say its a game of QBing and offense. Why is this so? Are the defenses going to be given the day off? How can it be a game of offense if you have no defense? Wouldn't that be a game of Offense vs Defense?.......Stupid statement and more spin, spin, spin.

Honestly if you want to come on here and throw out run-of-the-mill "your team is going to suck" 5th grade smack, at least be consistent in what you are saying. You can look at it from whatever angle you want but obviously you felt a need to come on a Packer Forum and enter the "Smack Section" for a reason. Are you intimidated? Are you lonely? Did mommy not hug you enough? I'm fascinated by it, I really am. Do you think people care what you think? Do you have insider info? Your predictions are meaningless, as ours are, but at least ours are intelligently argued.

You want an honest non-biased opinion on this division? The Bears,Packers,Vikings,Lions are all average teams destined for 8-8. If any overachieve or underachieve they will be plus or minus a few losses or wins. You might as well draw sticks for the winner of the division. No one team is heads and shoulders above the rest because they are all AVERAGE! You want to bet the farm? I bet the farm that neither of those 4 teams will be playing in an NFC Championship or Super Bowl. If you want to go over the Bears numerous weak spots I would be more than willing. In the same breath I will talk about the Packers problems as well, but it's not the guy under center, who you obviously despise due to being truly DOMINATED by.

In closing, you are a nobody. Don't cry or pout or comeback with your ridiculous spew of a post in which you throw out bogus, misleading, and twisted info. It's OK, as we are all nobodies as well. The difference is we don't come to your teams messageboard and try to change that. We are happy talking Packer Football, the good and the bad. We don't feel the need to try to venture into some other teams space and post garbage. You try to come off as confident and secure, but the fact that you are here tells me you are intimidated and jealous.

If you spent a little bit of time you'd see there were a few pages of solid legit debate going on between ZERO and mineral about the Packers and Brett.

Of course you wouldn't look that far into it because you'd rather boast negativity.

Where's the effort of our Packer fans? jfc this is sad.

If nothing else, it has made a few of you think about your team. Nearly 1500 views!

That's 1,500 total views which can be amassed by one single person jamming their F5 key or non-stop clicking on the thread link.

In this case, it's probably about 6 - 12 people checking the thread, posting and checking to see the lackluster rebuttle so they can make the bears/vikings fans look more foolish then their own inaccurate postings already have.

    :)

Now I hope you notice that I haven't boasted about the Bears. I do think they'll sweep you guys but I'm not making any outrageous claims. In fact, have I made any claims about the Bears (or any other team for that matter)?
This is a Packers forum. I'd be a little dumb to post about the Bears. My predictions are about the Packers ONLY.

Understand also that I'm not Mr.Pickles. Mr.Pickles is someone else entirely. Don't get me wrong, I find Pickles humorous and he's a swell guy. But I'm not him. Some people who can't take a joke don't like Mr.Pickles. I didn't used to be fond of him, but he grows on you. [insert sexual joke here]

You nor Pickles bother me. The third person aspect is what really ruins Pickles therefore he doesn't need any of my help. You don't bother me either. Your inaccurate comments give me something to do at 2:28 AM though ;)

Oh, a wrestling fan, well, that material was funny in what? 1998? Now adays that heavy crap dont flush, but considering your a wrestling/packer fan, I am sure that big dream of Brett Favre making the "hot" tag to Hulk Hogan, and Hogan opening up on Mike Ditka and Willam the Refrigerator Perry must still be a hotly fresh topic, for yourself.

Its ok, a Packer fan needs as much entertainment they can (brad) Muster, if you will, on account of the next few years, the Packers will have as much entertainment value as a date with a packer fan itself.

How romantic would it be, a nice meal at the Burger King, with an impressive" get whatever you want" on top of a romantic stroll thru a Wal-mart parking lot, yes, even fat girls can get the love!

So put in your "Piledriver" tapes, turn them on to 10, and listen to "Girls in cars".....life for a packer fan cant get any better than that......

How embarrassing it must be to be a packer fan.......
