Most obnoxious fan base?

yeah you guys really need to stop crying. this is our home turf. if this was a steelers board (ya know... where steeler fans talk to each other about how they are the greatest) then it would be a different story. but stop your friggin whining. nobody here cares about you if your going to be rude and attack others. being oblivious is not an excuse.

honestly all the mods here do a good job. i have never seen them do something and im like why did they do that?

I hope it's okay to say this out loud, but I honestly thought you were sort of bending over backwards to make the Steelers fans feel welcome. (Not allowing talk about Ben's off-the-field problems, apologizing about that, getting after Packer fans about it, etc.)

You've pushed back on some of the smack coming our way like any Packer fan would, but you've done it with links, facts, and substance.

Regarding the Steelers - Seahawks game, I don't think Seahawks fans can complain about anything, theres missed calls in every sport. But you let a wide reciever throw a touchdown against you in the superbowl, thats whack. Where I live the most obnoxious fans I deal with are 1)Eagles Fans 2)Jets Fans 3)Vikings Fans 4)"Patriots" Fans..
All year it was like "oh eagles super bowl" "michael vick MVP!" The one downside to working in a sports store is having all of the arrogant fans who know nothing about football come in and talk trash. Some 49ers fan came in this year and told me that Brian Westbrook was one of the greatest pass catching running backs of all time, and the best in the league...

I have a girlfriend that is a food server in Pittsburgh and she is a Packer fan. She said after the Pitt-Jets game, some Jet fans came into her restaurant and the Pittsburgh crowd threw food at them! Not all Pitt fans are bad. Every team has their bad eggs. I live 40-45 minutes from Pittsburgh so most of my friends are Steeler fans. Some are arrogant but most are good people.

Frankly I'm surprised at the vehemence on here. I haven't seen anything overly obnoxious from Steelers fans other than a few quotes from a different board--but it doesn't really matter in the end. If Packer fans want to **** up their own board it's their perogative. It's what makes the NYJ forum so much fun to participate in.

Funny thing I noticed on this forum, many Packer fans are down playing the Steelers talant and ability. Be careful not to look past the Steelers too soon. They are quite capable of beating the packers.

Yup. Likewise up until a couple days ago I was a valued member of this forum. You have already hit on what the problem is here:

I submit that your perception is at odds with our intent. You're getting all defensive over crap that you *think* we mean, but aren't actually saying.
My supposed "superior attitude" is nothing more than a figment of your own imagination. I've had nothing but good things to say about your entire team since I got here.
You're "reacting" to what you call disrespect (but really isn't) and lashing out. That's *instigating* the animosity whether you realize it or not. And you're not the only one.

Now, have there been Steeler fans on this forum whose behavior has been below-the-line and have actually dissed your team? Undoubtedly so. I suggest you take out your animosity on *them* and quit reading everything the rest of us write with a chip on your shoulder.
