You're talking about that poorly officiated Super Bowl, right? The one where the refs came out and said they made some real mistakes?

Can't say I really blame the Seahawks fans for being angry about that. That's not the way any of us would want to lose a game, let alone a Super Bowl. Know what I mean?

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and for me, the most annoying thing about Seahawks fans is the incredible homerism and misplaced optimism at the craziest possible times - but that's pretty benign, compared to a lot of other stuff we all see.

I hate when people blame the refs for the outcome of the game. It's usually poor play that puts you in the situation for the ref to decide the game for you anyways.

One thing I love about Tomlin is that he will never criticize or make excuses for a loss. If their was blatant pass interference that cost us a game winning touchdown, well you shouldn't be trying to make game winning touchdowns. You should have been running the ball and eating clock at that point.

Same for injuries. If the guy gets hurt, the standard of play does not change for whoever comes in to replace him. Dennis Dixon is expected to make the same throws that Ben makes. Legursky is expected to block his man, and snap the ball cleanly, the same as Pouncey did before he got hurt.

No excuses! Calls go for you as much as they go against you, and are just a part of the game. Ref's are human and are going to miss things from time to time.

Should the Packers beat us, even with questionable calls, I will still be one of the first to congratulate you. If that questionable call was going to change the outcome of the game, then we should have simply put up more points, or allowed less to not even be in the position in the first place. So the only thing out of my mouth will be to say good game, and we'll see you back in the Super Bowl next year. ;-)

(and the Seahawks can shut it already and just play a better game next time ;-) )

Literally the only thing that bothers me about Steelers fans is their constant bitching about Roger Goodell.

    Other than that, they're fine.

Well i dont know who is the most obnoxious fans, but i do know a few Steelers fans here where i live and i gotta say, they are so arrogant, that u wont believe it, so a win over Steelers would really made my months up to the next season. :)

As for the Bears, then i dont know any bears fans, but i have read on their forums sometimes and it dont looks like any of them have an IQ over 100.

Btw i have heard many says that many Raiders fans are "bandwagons fans", what do that means by that??

Sorry my english aint that good :)

Your statement above comes off like you are saying Pittsburgh is a franchise that expects no less (unlike other teams)

that's how it came off to me when I read it, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but it came off that way to me & probably others

as a fan, which is what you are too, I'm always expecting my team to have success...after the horrific finish last year in the wildcard, I felt that we had a chance to get to the big game and win it all the following season, after seeing all the players we lost, losing to the lions, & staring at elimination games of Giants & Bears...I began to doubt it could happen...it takes a strong team to pull off what they did, and they are not going to go down without a fight...I expect the Packers to win

Helping their case is the ref coming out during this past off-season and admitting they screwed Seattle...

I agree, that's just funny. What, because they are coming up with a contingency plan means it's going to happen? I mean, we have contingency plans in case we have to attack Canada or Mexico, but that doesn't mean either are going to happen.

Eagles fans. Bar none. I live right next to Philly, I've been to Eagles/Packers games. It's all bad news. Threatened in the stadium bathrooms, whole cheese steaks thrown at my head, etc. I have nothing good to say about that fan base.

Bears fans. Without a doubt the dumbest fans in the nfl- biggest homers as well. They actually thought their team was good once they won one playoff game against the worst team in post-season history, and then after the jay cutler incident they all turn on the team like they did at the beginning of the year.

Bottom line is, both teams played poorly. One of the worst SB's I ever watched. I doubt a couple of bad calls determined the outcome of the game, but champions overcome bad calls regardless. I would think several dropped passes and two missed fieldgoals had more to do with it.:smile3:

No, they admitted to two bad calls, if Seattle couldn't overcome them, then they shouldn't be on the field!

Good Lord, Do Steeler fans admit to anything? Good God!! Granted, I understand. Who want to admit you were handed a SB.

What do you want? I admitted to 2 bad calls and so did the league, bottom line is the score board.:tease:So your telling me Seattle couldn't score more than 10 points with 2 bad calls. Let's see how many bad calls there are on sunday.

Are you suggesting that Seattle would've won without those two bad calls? "Handed a SB" seems to imply that rather strongly. If that's what you mean, I would love to hear your explanation. If not, I would like to know exactly what you *do* mean.

/Is this that "mutually respectful tone" you've been wishing for?

Do you Steelers fans admit that those 2 calls influenced the outcome of the game?

I'm not saying Seattle would've won if not, because I don't think they would. I do think the better team won.

But to say that 2 missed calls don't influence a game is looking at it through big black and gold glasses.

Good point! Of course it influences the outcome of the game! Had the situation been reversed, and those calls had gone against the Steelers, we'd never hear the end of it. Especially if they lost the game. Look at it from the Seahawks point of view.

Then it appears to me that you and Murgen disagree. I'm really waiting for his answer.

As for "influencing the game", of course it did. Bad calls *always* influence games. But Murgen didn't say "influenced". He said "handed a SB". So I'd really like some clarification on this.

It's easy to say the Bears fans are the worst as a Packers fan, but Philly fans SUCK..in every sport. They are the most hateful bunch of asses in the world.

That's all I wanted to hear.
You did win the SB, you asbolutely had merits, and won because you were the better team, but you were, in fact, "helped" by the refs.

Maybe it's the media, but I have a clear perception that, purposedly or not, your franchise has had "help" from the refs more often than not, and I've listed such occurences.

I would really like to see some games where the refs missed calls against the Steelers, because I'm not one to believe in conspiracies.

But the small data I have about it suggests that there might be something behind it, or at least that they're the luckiest franchise in the history of sports.

What I'm asking is, Steelers fans, please bring up some games where you were "screwed" by the refs, so this talk can be put to rest.
