Most obnoxious fan base?

I agree that Philly fans are about as brutal as you can get.........no matter what sport it is. But Bears fans are just plain pathetic so I rank them as the worst.

I'm surprised to see only two ppl mention the cowboys. They're just like talking to Wisconsin residents who are Yankee fans... jumped on the bandwagon years ago; and majority of which have never even been to the state that their team resides in. Obnoxious, yes. But mostly just plain annoying.

I think Bears fans went from Obnoxious to assholes when they poisoned/blinded the Steeler fan with wood alcohol.

One of my better fans is a Steelers fan. This past week, very obnoxious. This is coming from a guy that gave up on his Steelers against the Ravens and I had to tell him to watch the second half. Now all he has done since is make ridiculous comments about how the Packers don't stand a chance and it is just going to be a blow out. I think that some of it has to be because we are good friends. We just like to give each other hard times. But over all, fan bases are going to have their respectful fans and have douche-bags, don't know what the hell im talking about, just want to start **** i cant finish fans.

Most obnoxious?
Since I'm around them all the time i'd say the Vikings (worst was in 2009). After their chock in the NFC champ game went to school the next day with a big smile and wrote on one of the white boards: The Vikings Chocked again!

Nah, they've always pretty much been assholes. Just that now they want to take over the top spot from Philly fans as being the BIGGEST assholes. Hey, they can't win anything else so I guess they go with what they know.......being ******* losers.

For the most part they could care less about their team. San Diego is, in large part, a city of transplants. You find few people who were actually born here that are still here. Sure, there are some die hard fans too, but most people in San Diego root for them because it's the "In" thing to do. At least that's been my experience.

That said, Charger fans are, by and large, assholes. I used to cheer for them, being the local team and all, until I had run in's with their fans the last time we played them. I couldn't tell you how many co-workers were bitter towards me, personally, because the Packers beat them. I don't mean just fun, light hearted trash talk. There was actual fury directed towards me because they lost. That's what initially soured my feelings towards them.

Then, that same season, my fiancee and I were at a sports bar for Sunday Night Football, to watch the Chargers vs. the Colts. My fiancee is a Denver fan (Not everyone is perfect, but she's hot so It's cool), and was rooting for Indy that night. She wasn't being loud or obnoxious, she was just cheering when Indy made a good play. We had no less than three people get in her face that night. It was ugly.

To top it off, my best friend is a Charger fan, and went to the playoff game when they faced the Titans. His friend that accompanied him is a Titans fan. By the beginning of the second quarter, he was apologizing to her for the way Chargers fans were behaving towards her. He had a handful of people thrown out for their behavior and damn near got into a couple of brawls. Since then, I decided to make a point to root against the Chargers, unless they play the Vikings or Bears of course. Maybe even the Cowboys.

My take on most obnoxious fans- Every team has them, and everyone has an experience that make some fan bases seem worse than others. If you ever go to PFT, look for any Packers or Vikings article, and look for a guy named Jimmy Smith. He's a total troll, and is as obnoxious as any fan I've ever seen. And he's a Packers fan.

We all have our douchebags, and we all have our classy fans. Unfortunately the douchebags make the most noise so they get the most attention. Lately this game has created more douchebag Steelers fans over here, but I'm sure there are plenty of douchebag Packers fans over there to even things out.

What I don't get though is the need to troll. To go onto someone else's forum and just talk trash. I mean, I don't get the point. What are people trying to prove, besides what a pathetic loser they are in life?

If you want to discuss the game, and facts and stats, that's fine. I don't mind fans coming over here to talk about the weeks matchup or whatever. What I hate is when fans come over here and just start slamming the team without any real basis of fact. And I hate that our fans do the same to them. It's just stupid.

I would say that every team has their fair share of obnoxious fans. But in my experience band wagoners are the worst to deal with

In all honesty, I really havent seen many intelligent posts by Bears or Philly fans. It's basically the same mindless trash talk. They're badasses and regardless of what the stats say or any other factors involved, they are going to lay a major beatdown on whoever they play.

When they lose, the Philly fan have the one tried and true respone, which is obviously related closely to giving one the middle finger. With Bears fans, it's a myriad of excuses complied and catalogued over the last 25 years since Da Bears became chokers and failed to become the dynasty they all predicted them to be after the 85 team.

Tha Patriots are the worst in the NFL, nobody even close.

I think the Packers have a decent fan base.

Oh yeah, because they know nothing about the teams playing but still talk trash. They're also the funniest to laugh at.

Must say I forgot about them. They do have a rather hefty douchebag following.

This season, it has been a toss-up between the Steelers and the Jets as to which has the most obnoxious fans - but I think the long-term obnoxiousness puts the Steeler fans over the top.

Judging by this past week, Steelers fans have the edge in most obnoxious fanbase. I am not for one for trash talk. I prefer to let my team handle their business on the field before I say anything. But this past week, I have been bombarded with text messages and Facebook posts about how the Steelers are going to beat down the Packers and "6 titles this and Sixburgh that!" I just SMH at it all.

Jets fans are following the lead of their HC, I think. That man seems to think he can just imagine his way to a Super Bowl, which strikes me as very child-like. (And you know how kids can be when they don't get something they think they should have had.)

Steelers fans: Some have been pretty good here. What I find mildly annoying is the foregone conclusion stuff...like some (not all) are already thinking there's just no contest here. But the ones that are really bothering me are those that are openly hoping for Aaron Rodgers to be knocked out of the game. I've seen several like this. Is that the way you win a championship? By eliminating a competitor's opportunity?

Just...wow. Not digging that.

How could you ever be proud of a championship if that's how you win it? I just can't wrap my mind around that at all.

But you have to take the New York factor with a grain of salt.

I mean.......they're from New York.......it's like in their DNA to hate.

Majority of the Steeler fans that have stopped by this forum have congratulated the Packers on winning the NFC, and admitted they think it's going to be a close game. A lot of the Packers fans on this very board have made rude comments accusing Ben of being a rapist, saying they need to give Harrison the death penalty, etc, etc.

Your going to have some fans that like to talk smack in every city. It doesn't bother me in the least, it's football damnit! I don't see anything wrong with a little trash talk. You just talk about the game and do not make personal attacks on the players. That is when it gets to be tasteless. Comments about beating the other team, hoping he put some nice licks on the your quarterback, and things like that are not a big deal. It's an online forum, not a tea party. The people with the real problems are not the so called "trolls" that come and talk a little smack. It's the ones who actually take it personally and let it bother them that have the real problems.

We do like to talk about our 6 Super Bowl trophies too. We are PROUD of them! Just as Green Bay is proud of the 12 championships. You guys like to talk about that a lot too, and I don't blame you at all! Be proud of it, tell everyone!

In Pittsburgh, we do not feel entitled to anything. What we do have are expectations. We expect our team to win EVERY year. There is never next year. If we do not win the AFC North, the AFC Championship, and the Super Bowl, the season was a failure. There is never rebuilding. You constantly have to make good draft choices to restock the team. You have to earn your spot by playing special teams. You have to be of a certain mentality to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Those are the expectations we have.

And to get back on topic.. I'd say Cleveland fans have to rank up there for obnoxious fans. They are the reason we can't drink beer out of glass bottles at sporting events anymore. I'd also put Philly up there, Chicago, Baltimore, Jets, Giants, and Cowboys.

Bears fans are the worst I've been around. I live in Central IL though, so it's all I see.

When they are winning, they are beyond obnoxious...

When they lose, they self implode.

It was awesome to watch the 1 week transformation from them beating the Seahawks, to us beating them in their house. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them completely 180 on their team.

You can't possibly think the Steelers are the only Franchise that have the mindset of Super Bowl or bust.

The Steeler Fans are like that family in My Big Fat Greek Wedding... Everything was originally "Steelers", etc...
