If someone wants to bring up the old thread about Bonds...

I said the same thing... they all cheat, Barry is just the fall guy.

Its really not a big deal to me. Ok great they used steroids...everybody did so theres really no advantage. Now its illegal so enforce it now... dont go back and put astericks on freakin records.

Its part of a whole new ugly, detestable, shameful side of sports. Everyone wants to bring someone else down. Instead of putting heroes up, we wanna see them fall. Mike Vick, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens... people just wanna see controversy and failure. its sick and sadistic and its ruining sports as we once knew it. If i had to put blame on anyone, i would have to put it on ESPN. They wanna have something to talk about, so they make things out to be bigger than they should so they can sell some TV ads.

I heard Varitek was on there, then that he wasn't. Seeing those other names, it doesn't seem like its as "landscape shifting" as it was supposed to be.

Well, what did Strengh Coaches\Trainers expect the investigators to say?

"Mr. Strength Coach, thank you for the names. What do YOU think we can do as a solution to this problem?"

They don't NEED their opinion on the matter. That's what the MLBP is for, to go "If a player fails a drug test for the 16th time, He misses THREE whole games."

Selig and the Players Union need to go away.

I completely agree about the astericks.. that is why it all is hogwash that the ball has a * on it... we will never know the true extent of how many players used and what effects it had overall.. it was and still is a dark part of baseballs history.. and it will get worse until this all blows over.

Clemens and others will come out probably denying the reports and it will become an ugly game of interviews for a while.. then hopefully it calms out and starts to dealt with and quashed.

I wonder how the Brewers feel this afternoon with Gagne just getting 10 mil? Refund anyone?

The name people keep saying but I didn't see in the report at all is Albert Pujols. He is not in the report.

I agree asterisks should not be used.

But it IS a big deal. You say "everyone" used steroids. Thats not true. 5-7 percent of the players tested positive in 2003 in an anonymous test. Thats hardly "EVERYONE" There ARE some players out there that did it the right way.

LOL. Espn didn't run a dog fighting ring. Espn didn't kill any dogs. Espn didn't inject Roger Clemens with steroids.

So I guess its Espn's fault that Mike Vick is in prison for committing a FELONY? Please tell me you're kidding.

    I know Midwest.............kill the messenger.
I don't WANT to see heroes fall, they are doing all the damage themselves!
Whats ruining sports in MY view is the "me first, and screw all you guys" attitude of alot of players today. (See: Terrel Owens, Javon Walker, Ricky Williams, and on and on it goes) If these guys stayed clean, did their jobs, and showed some respect to the game and the fans, we would have someone to truely look up to.
Vick did illegal activities, and then lied to our faces about it. He's a CRIMINAL, plain and simole. No one MADE him do it, he made a free will choice to take the chance that he'd get caught........which he did. Same with Bonds, and all the other cheaters. You play, sooner or layer, you pay.

I was surprised that some players were not on the list. Brian/Marcus Giles, Javy Lopez, Ivan Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, etc. But overall, the list wasn't too surprising.

I'm going to read the entire thing tonight, because every list I've read is different. The list I've posted was typed while I looked through the report for names, but maybe there are some names that I didn't notice.

I noticed Selig didn't bother to take any blame. How can he not? It all happened under his watch, and he knew about it. He can't blame the players for everything. Just because he hired the guy to do the report doesn't absolve him of any blame. Plus, his Brewers just signed Gagne, who is on the list. That's just mind boggling. He knew all the names before today.
